electrical tape, zip ties, ratcheting tie down straps and a roll of rebar wire. As a trucker your suggestions plus these pretty much take care of me. Oh glass cleaner and WD40

Only things I would add to this is the Noco GB70 Jump Pack, zip ties, duct tape and maybe some electrical tape. I cant express this enough how many times zip ties have gotten a buddy home when their jeep is broken down on a trail while off-roading

@@RustbeltMechanic I would have said jumper cables but then you are relying on someone else being available to jump you. Also 90% of the non-mechanics in this world don't know how to attach them correctly by putting it on a non-painted piece of metal. My buddy's girlfriend fried her computer one time bc she hooked up the cables wrong

That Stanley spark plug socket is the best, only spark plug socket I've found that is thin enough to do the top plugs on my Dodge 4.7l. I tried a husky, Pittsburgh, craftsman, and duralast before it with no luck.

Have you had any experience with the bluedriver lsb2? What benefit would axle sockets have without a new part to replace? I'm sorry if that's a dumb question, I'm by no means a mechanic
@danieltubbs458
@danieltubbs458 4 жыл бұрын
@@samueldeter9735 if you had to remove the axle to be able to take it to a auto parts store in order to match the size to take the guess work out. However I wouldnt recommend removing it personally. I would either use ratchet straps to do a temporary fix or call AAA and get it towed in tact, because often if someone who is not a technician tries to remove something, especially without the proper tools, they can do more harm than good.

@@danieltubbs458 awesome man thank you for the reply! Any recommendations on a good reasonably portable Jack? I hate those stupid little mini floor jacks like from Walmart but was hoping to find something a little easier than my 3 ton floor from the 70s

@danieltubbs458
@danieltubbs458 4 жыл бұрын
You should throw in some spare batteries then and definitely carry more than 1 light. Worst thing is going to use a flash light and having it be dead
@lunchfood5585
@lunchfood5585 4 жыл бұрын
Personally in my to go bag I keep a battery powered flashlight with at least two sets of batteries to replace it sometimes I’m lazy or I forget to change the batteries when I’m home and having the assurance of extra ones is great nothing like working outside in the dark and your flashlight dies it leaves you dead in the water

Stanley tool how many pieces
@TheSinister09
@TheSinister09 4 жыл бұрын
That looks like 123 pieces, however I myself prefer the slightly larger sets that include 1/2” drive as well as some torx and/or hex sockets and hex keys. Take a look around, where ever you are. Up here I can find them for about $150 - $200 Canadian.

I really need to get a smaller floor jack I have a big 5 ton shop floor jack would like to get 2 small lighter ones that I can keep in my truck and wifes car.
