10:30 i remember watching this fight live, after she kicked her in the head she was laying on the floor like that completely unconscious for over 6 minutes if i remember right. the commentators kept awkwardly being like um she's still not moving, thankfully she was ok in the end though. you could tell people in the crowd were kind of worried too, it was crazy to watch.

Askren had plenty of MMA fights before his tenure in the UFC (19 to be exact.). He was the former Bellator and One Championship welterweight champion and undefeated until the loss to Masvidal shown in the clip. As far as being a 100% wrestler, he had 6 knockouts and 6 submissions in his MMA career. Last I checked punching, kicking, and submissions aren't a part of wrestling. ;) Although I do agree that he was primarily a wrestler and used that to set up his punches and submissions.

At 12:51 where the flying knee knockout happens right at the beginning, there's actually some history to this one. The fighters had a lot of beef before this fight, and Masvidal felt very offended by the other fighter, who is a world class wrestler. Masvidal had studied Ben (the other fighter) and noticed on a lot of fights he went for the exact takedown he tried to use when he opened. So Masvidal actually practiced that exact flying knee heavily before the fight, and knew that's exactly what he was going to try to do.

The flying knee that you all mentioned having already seen was, and still is, the fastest knock out in UFC history. Officially 5 seconds, but that's only because they time it to when the ref steps in to stop it. It was only 3 seconds until he was asleep.

Hey guys love the channel! I thought I'd give you some context with the Masvidal running flying knee knockout of Askren. There was alot of bad blood between them. They was smack talking for a long time before the fight, Askren Is one the most successful wrestlers in MMA. Masvidal predicted that Askren was going to try and take him down immediately. And he did. That's how the knee landed so sweetly. There was no fractured skull, but I'm sure a few braincells were lost in the process lol. Keep up the great work on the best reaction channel on KZbin 🙏

That body shot caught him right on the liver. You can knock a guy out that way.. your liver releases an enzyme if hit hard enough.. your body reacts to that release just like a stun gun.. basically all your muscles freeze and you go rigid.. it's weird.. you fall and cannot respond to questions.. but your mind is totally clear. You can see, hear, and know what's going on.. but you cannot move or speak. The crazy thing it usually take about 20 seconds before your body reacts.. so you can get hit.. still be moving around.. then all.of a sudden just freeze up and fall over like you're having a seizure

As long as they aren’t in a compromising position called out by the ref to let the fighters know, pretty much anything goes. 90s elbows are illegal and you can’t hit a fighter in the head if the ref declares them “down”. Just a few of the rules.

The only thing you guys got to remember is since it’s the UFC not everyone is a striker or boxer, some of them have literally no striking background and some of them have some experience but not much and they’re more of a wrestler or jujitsu fighter with wrestling, so Paul Craig when he got knocked out that explains why his stupid ass threw two spinning kicks because he’s not looking to set things up
