So survive centuries later and invent liberalism so the liberals can rewrite in your favor. Or don't bother. How many possible worldlines start where we are now and end with North America under mostly indigenous control? Even if the liberals don't like it, they definitely won't actually make you pay for genocide anywhere near the potential advantages.
@petersmythe64623 жыл бұрын
There aren't many potential futures where the US is worse off due to manifest destiny and many liberals don't want a future where Israel is worse off due to the Nakba. Unfortunately genocide has proved to be extremely profitable even in broad daylight.

another great strategy I discovered over a decade ago was the use of creeping bombard tower clusters. The basic set up is three bombard towers in a wedge formation with the leading tower just inside the range of the two supporting towers. There are many fast-moving units that bombards just can't hit unless the stop moving, like the do to attack the lead tower. Once the first triad is in place, the next begins just inside the range of the previous triad's lead tower. I found this to be particularly effective against the AI, especially in taking control of choke points on the map, or seizing gold/stone resources away from the enemy. Typically, the AI will exhaust far more resources attacking the towers than it takes to build and repair them, setting the stage for a war a attrition. The towers also make for an effective advancing force to attack the enemy city. If repelled, there is just too many towers to fight through and the enemy army is exhausted faster than you can rebuild. To defend against the inevitable trebuchet counter-attack, I always kept a small cavalry contingent in reserve. There is also the case of a mass paladin or war elephant attack. So I also kept a contingent of archers that would initially set up in advance of the towers and then making a fighting retreat behind them. This strategy requires a LOT of gold and stone, and is obviously a late-game strategy that probably isn't that effective against the human player. As a final remark, I discovered this strategy after my town was decimated by a surprise force of persian war elephant's. On a humorous note, they emerged from the fog of war just as the music turned dark. With my army beaten, and my city in ruins, it was up to my villagers to devise a defense against the next wave. The bombard tower defense then became the creeping offense.
@SgtEmissary9 жыл бұрын
Adding onto the wall strategy, walling in resources around the map at the start of the game is also a good idea. I'll sometimes wall in resources that aren't near any of the bases... when they run out and are in search of other resources around the map they'll come to find that they can't get them leaving them in a more vulnerable position (this ofcourse will take some time but if executed right will pay off). You can also wall in the gates in Arena at the start of the game to delay them further (this works best with computers ofcourse), with walling in the gates it gives you some time to plant an offensive castle down; in particular it works very well as the Celts (with their infantry speed and wood chopping bonus). Spam Woad Raiders, build a few rams to knock their wall down, send in the Woad Raiders to pick off the villagers and BLAMO! You got yourself an easy win (this also depends on what amount of resources you start with). If you're ballsy enough you can even do this: wall in their military buildings making their military units waste their time by having to destroy the wall to get out. ... It's also a sort of trollish thing to do which will no doubt piss your opponents off. The idea behind it: to delay and annoy your opponent as much as possible. Once annoyed and possibly raging... it'll throw his game off (it should). A ragging opponent would generally not be able to focus unlike a calm and collected opponent.
@rlhariharan115 жыл бұрын
You can simply delete a part of the wall for you exit, can't you?
@SethBennion3 жыл бұрын

1. Similar to the town center strategy you mentioned, is that I would find the enemy town, get enough stone quickly and build towers in their town before they have time to counter. While doing so, get resources and build an army to finish off the town. 2. Get a lot of stone and wood early on and enough food to create a few extra villagers to help get more food and gold. As quickly as possible, find the enemy town and get near it and start building barracks, stables and towers nearby. Wall off these areas and use the towers to protect the buildings. Add a gate so that your units can leave the walled area and then start creating units. If these buildings stand until castle age, create a couple of castles in between the buildings, wall it off and add towers and a gate. Doesn't work so well if the enemy gains an army quickly or quickly builds siege units fast, but while your building your military base near their town, you can build some military buildings, towers, walls and a castle in your town just encase your strategy fails. 3. Find all gold and stone (Maybe wood if the area isn't too big) and get some resources of wood and quickly and wall them off with palisade walls so that the enemy can't get to most of the the resources and can't advance (Don't wall off the resources close to your town so you can use them), then if you can do it quickly enough, delete the palisade walls and build stone walls around with a tower or two at each and add your mining camp and a put a couple of villagers inside to get the resources. Send some units to defend each area and send the rest to attack the enemy. Harder to do in maps like gold rush where there is lots of gold around or black forest which is mostly trees and you can't really wall off resources like this.

I actually tried to Persian Douche (Restless TC) someone that apparently knew what they were doing once- my opponent pulled all of his villagers off resource gathering and attacked my villagers. I was, of course, outnumbered, and he killed them all before I could get the TC up. Outside of that, in my opinion the best reaction to this one is to delete your own TC as soon as the enemy's starts to go up and rebuild it in a good position out of range of the enemy TC. Then you can ignore him. You don't lose anything against your opponent by doing this as he's already deleted and started to rebuild his TC. You're still up, though, because you haven't wasted time sending a large amount of villagers across the map and you have the opportunity to put your TC in a very efficient spot.
@SpiritOfTheLaw9 жыл бұрын
ep3lol haha, it's definitely easiest to pull it off against a computer because they don't attack the villagers. A villager counter rush is definitely the best strategy. You could probably throw down some houses around your villagers to protect them, though. I honestly don't know why the strategy isn't used more
@martijnbouman88749 жыл бұрын
Spirit Of The Law Well I think the strategy is pretty ineffective. Like you said in your video, you can counter a Persian Douche by just ignoring it. Even if someone is doing this strategy against you successfully, if you just let your initial Town Center be destroyed and build a new one as soon as your old one is gone, you''ll have had much more Villager gathering time than the opponent because: 1) He had to move a lot of his Villagers to the other side of the map; 2) He was the first one to not have a Town Center for a moment, so between the time he deleted his TC and he destroyed yours, you will have had more Villagers; 3) He had to garrison Villagers in his Town Center to destroy yours, making them idle. This should always cause you to reach Feudal first or reach Feudal with more resources. Then, like you said, you can destroy the opponent with Feudal army.
@ep3lol9 жыл бұрын
Spirit Of The Law It's high-risk and not conservative. I think high level players generally shy away from that. BBQTurkman has a great video on this strategy that shows a game where this was used that actually settled down and was normal after a while, though. Worth a watch.

Nice, I've never thought of #5 before. I use #3 occasionally, but actually partly to mimic something I do in C&C: Red Alert 2 with Libyan nuclear trucks, which packs a lot more punch. Number 4 is my primary siege method as I've always loved their range, but often I'd also launch a tower/castle rush with a second flanking group as the target is usually too focused on stopping my main force's siege to worry about the villiagers until the initial set of towers are built, lol

I used a few of these against my former classmates back in the highschool days when we played at LAN parties. The "offensive towers", trebuchet+pike rush and the "deforestation" tactics were my favorites. I've only experimented with the petard rush against a PC, but you just can't do it if the PC elects to mass build archers or scorpions (which it often did with the Celts)

Also, another interesting strategy is in water maps, in which you have to defend islands. Or a long shore. I realized that if you build palisades too close to the water, the computer cannot land troops, thus leaving you free to focus your attention on other tasks, such as building towers. It may use fire ships to destroy them, but well, at least it doesn't land troops so quickly, and also, most of the time, it will simply focus its attacks on the area that you have chosen to focus your attention on. I don't know whether that could work with human players. I used it in one of the missions of the AOE2 campaigns and it truly worked.

I like these strategies. Especially the first one it's kinda like what Caesar did to the Gauls during his campaign. If you're also an AOE1 fan you can see it in one of Caesar's missions

In Black Forest maps, I really like taking siege onagers and using them to clear a long path through the trees (by destroying the trees themselves), thereby popping out an army right at the rear of my opponent's base. This is great with these maps because it allows me to circumvent my opponent's defenses entirely, catching them by surprise.

I used to do the chat miss info all the time in Command and Conquer and Starcraft. What you do is make two armies, one must be what you "accidently" told and you make it big enough to look serious but small to fail. The second army is the real threat.

I did the box one as a child😂😂 I knew that once my opponent got stronger I would lose the game in a matter of minutes, so I took measures against it. My father thought it was hilarious.

I like surrounding the enemy with castles because it is a fast way to make routes for your armies safe and it would stress them out with constant streams of units attacking.
