Here in Dpain we would wear a morning coat (jacquette) to a wedding, particularly if it takes place in the morning or early afternoon and if we are “witnesses” or close friends with the bride or bridegroom. If it is a very classical wedding we would go with silver ties, if not so much blue ones and fantasy waistcoats. If not wearing a morning coat, then it would be a blue suit, a white shirt and a nice (mostly blue) tie.

Lovely ties. That black grenadine would look great for a funeral imo, cause it’s more lowkey instead of the satin shine. Fun fact: in multiple countries in northern Europe it is an unwritten rule to wear a white/grey and silver tie. Though not everyone does that anymore

As family, I've always gone with a black suit, white shirt and black tie. If I'm paying my respects, a dark suit and black tie or a subdued/dark tie.
