Great collection! See one great omission -- no women? I'll seed this list with one -- Barbara Stanwyck (The Big Valley, Annie Oakley, Union Pacific, and many more). Also, I hear no mention of that great western, Bite the Bullet. It had several of your top 50 in it (James Coburn, Gene Hackman, Ben Johnson). Thanks again for keeping the memories alive!

Did I miss John Russell? Not only did he star in the Lawman series, but he did a number of movies including Rio Bravo, Jubilee Trail, Pale Rider, the Outlaw Josie Wales and guest starred in a number of tv westerns.
