Sucks!!! No grouping of apps in start menu. One group named Office now becomes Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word, Publisher, OneNote, etc icons. Such clutter when loosing other groups full of like-kind apps.. Most screens are wider than tall, so taskbar should be along left EDGE of screen (at least as an option). Moving icons to the left end of the bottom of the screen, whoopy doo. BTW, regedit allows u to move the taskbar to the top of the screen. And why couldn't the taskbar on multiple displays all be the same (e.g. choose OneNote snippet icon or other hidden icons or Quick Settings from each taskbar? That is task bar on every screen be identical? They didn't fix their search bugs (e.g. copy name of file in an indexed folder, move up 1 directory level and search-maybe finds it maybe not). Also clicking in the Search box still doesn't bring up search options until you type something. I will be keeping my TPM turned off so that I don't get upgraded.

How's your experience been? I was testing it out yesterday and I gotta say, I'm pretty impressed. For the most part, it's been able to keep up with me talking normally, not even having to put more effort into ennunciating my words. Had a blast messing with it. Something else. In W10, you were able to right click on a program pinned in the start menu, and it would display the last files and the pinned files you were working on, on that specific program. In W11, you see a mix of all files. Any suggestion on how to go back to the previous start menu but keeping Windows 11?

Great review. One thing I haven't figured out. In Win 10 I had two rows of apps pinned to TASKBAR. Even though I still have all the same apps pinned I can't see the 2nd row. So a bunch I have pinned are useless in the taskbar -- I still have to go search for them. I just can't figure out how to get them to display at the bottom so I can select when wanted.

Idk, i found it very similar to 10, i think the only substantial improvement that i found is that now when i tab out of a game or switch to a different display and the game in fullscreen goes to the background and i click back on the game, it does it seemlesly and with no delay when in win10, all my displays turned black for like 2 seconds everytime i wanted to hop back on the game. I think this is a great feature that makes things much smoother for multi display gaming and streaming

I appreciate the video very much. To me every MS version update comes with very little that's new, except maybe some window dressing and I can't say I'm seeing that much new here, at least regarding what was demo'd. The only 'new' feature that I found appealing here is the multiple desktops. 99% of the time I prefer my windows either overlapping or being maximized so the options for side by side displays had no appeal at all. Admittedly 99% of the time I'm dealing with command windows, and I want my command windows to have a static size. Quite honestly it bothers me that I might accidentally click those side by side options and have Windows change my window sizes when I don't want Windows to do that; hopefully there's a way to disable that feature. I've also never felt a need for my computer to tell me what to focus on either. The truth is I'd really prefer that MS didn't focus so much on graphical changes (like changing the way the start menu "looks"...; I'm an old guy, and I really don't want to re-learn stuff I already know), but would rather they just advertise what are truly new features (not new ways to look at old features) and let the user decide what he wants, but otherwise leave the graphics the same; i.e.: can't they just have a Windows 10 display option/theme, so that things look exactly the same, but allow me to use the new features like multiple desktops. Notably, I really dislike the way they moved the 'power' button on the start menu. I can see accidentally clicking that when I don't want to...

Few things that would have been great and useful: 1. under the start menu, it would have been great if all apps (show all) when expanded, expanded like app drawer on Android alphabetically with option to favorite the most used apps. The current vertical app list waste so much usable space. 2. desktop widgets just like on Android and iOS widgets in the home screen would have been great. 3. app folders also like in mobile OS to organize apps

In windows 10, I can easily turn on/off night light from the right side panel. Now its gone, I can change it manually though in settings. Hope there is an easy way toggle night light on/off... aside from setting a schedule.

You can do that with the new quick menu alongside the battery saver, wifi, Bluetooth, etc. Just like how he added the battery saver you can add back the night mode.
