how to fix this error code 0x801901f4 😭
@BillsSpamMail2 жыл бұрын
Sucks!!! No grouping of apps in start menu. One group named Office now becomes Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word, Publisher, OneNote, etc icons. Such clutter when loosing other groups full of like-kind apps.. Most screens are wider than tall, so taskbar should be along left EDGE of screen (at least as an option). Moving icons to the left end of the bottom of the screen, whoopy doo. BTW, regedit allows u to move the taskbar to the top of the screen. And why couldn't the taskbar on multiple displays all be the same (e.g. choose OneNote snippet icon or other hidden icons or Quick Settings from each taskbar? That is task bar on every screen be identical? They didn't fix their search bugs (e.g. copy name of file in an indexed folder, move up 1 directory level and search-maybe finds it maybe not). Also clicking in the Search box still doesn't bring up search options until you type something. I will be keeping my TPM turned off so that I don't get upgraded.

Few things that would have been great and useful: 1. under the start menu, it would have been great if all apps (show all) when expanded, expanded like app drawer on Android alphabetically with option to favorite the most used apps. The current vertical app list waste so much usable space. 2. desktop widgets just like on Android and iOS widgets in the home screen would have been great. 3. app folders also like in mobile OS to organize apps

From an IT management perspective, Windows 11 will not work (yet) for small, medium, large or corporate businesses. Municipal apps are not yet compatible with Windows 11. Majority of apps designed for windows 7 (legacy apps) that businesses invested in aren't even windows 10 compatible but we made them work. I recall windows 10 was suppose to be the last OS made but of course, simplified the display of windows 11 but makes it horrible for IT managers to implement the latest and greates OS to our managed clients as we, ourselves, have to be trained in Windows 11, test windows 11 and determine if the clients will use the new windows 11 OS. Lots of customer education right there. Right now, we created a script to not push Windows 11. Not until 2023 probably will we move to Windows 11. Windows 11 is best for home average users and not for business.
@blackchristiangeek2 жыл бұрын
Greetings and as a fellow IT professional, I would suggest that it sounds like apps have not been updated somewhere along the way. Carrying legacy apps forward opposed to updating or replacing always bugged me in this business over the last 25+ years 😢 I get it, users like what they like and there are time when those users are owners/management. Nevertheless, I stand by my statement and they that we fail them and ultimately us when we don't properly educate them on better practices and why. Just my $0.02, but hey I will be retired in about 11 months 😇 Thanks and God bless,
@trapped-ion2 жыл бұрын
Why aren't you using VMs? And for how long is MS continue to focus lots of resources to Win 10? Are they not offering higher security update charges to clients who want to stay on Windows 10? I fully understand the painful path of upgrading, especially when feverything can migrate to the new OS, but just one application can't move because of some funny dll. The other things you mentioned are also a pain - training staff, etc.
