@@maklame3318 I like that you are confident in your presumption, but I did actually watch some CYN and seen interviews and articles by the main guys and creators (mainly EC3). I've gotten hints of their flawed rationale, like banning some moves but not others. I've looked at the themes these shows seem to have in common and why they are inconsistent and overall reactionary to wrestling as a whole. I gained a clearer picture the more I looked into CYN. It's revolutionary, but pines for the status quo ante. It's individualistic (it's called Control _Your_ Narrative), but retains the collective spirit of a shitty version of Fight Club. And it supposedly has a more horizontal structure yet still enforces rules on other people - controls them, if you will. Only EC3 and Scherr can be egoistic and free, the rest have to delude themselves into being controlled. They are already free, but choose not to be, because the rules must be respected and your narrative must be controlled by the rules. The promotion at its current state can only ever be mid at best given their inconsistent observation of their own foundational beliefs. Perhaps they'll stop navel gazing and do some real reflection rather than "I'm 14 and this is deep" shit.

I think CYN could be great as a faction. In a proper federation. If EC3 returned to IMPACT for example and brought this post WWE persona and the frustrations plus some of the other guys who are on board and preach this. Like he did when he briefly returned for Slammiversary against Moose a while back. The early free your Narrative stuff in IMPACT was very interesting. On its own though, It's become like the Dog Fighting of Wrestling. Bringing this philosophy and preaching it within a proper brand would work so much better. Stone Cold Steve Austin would have felt much less like an outlaw if he was doing it in a place where he ran the show. But if you have a man to stick it to so to speak. Honestly it isn’t even horrible wrestling, they’re just doing way too much extra trying to be different, all the edits and random text that pops up makes no sense and the fact that they don’t have an actual “audience” and like you said no commentator just makes it awkwardly quiet. There’s some aspects of wrestling that you can’t just get rid of to “be different”. You need a clear way of winning matches and some type of commentary or something so it doesn’t seem like an empty arena match.
