The biggest issue with CYN is that it has literally not identity. I genuinely don’t get what they’re going for, but it’s not working at all, they’ve managed to make both Kross and Strowman into absolute jokes just by being there.

This is basically what Strowman is though. He's not an actual pro wrestler, he's a powerlifter/strong man competitor Vince fast-tracked to pro wrestling purely for his size. Argument could be made that Kross has only ever been presented as a "legit" wrestler when Triple H put NXT's resources into pushing him as a top guy. He's definitely lamer without Scarlett.

In regards to wondering why Gentleman Jervis is in CYN, i can tell you the very little bit i know about the circumstances that led him there. Over the past year Jervis had been called out for being a p.o.s. by the indie company he was working for. I forget the name of it, but it's the one Brian Zane is involved in. Zane actually released statements online about Jervis and why they stripped him of their belt. According to Zane & others, Jervis was apparently one of those people who is really a dirtbag in real life. They said he was refusing to do the work required ot him & that he had agreed to, such as cutting promos & other things promoting the company. But then after that another scandal happened where it came out that the guy who played Jervis did something foul (i hate that i can't remember what it was 😡) and when he was called out online about it, he basically tried using his depression & "thoughts of suicide" to play on everyone's sympathies but pretty much everyone saw right thru it. I'm sure you guys can find the full stories with just a little bit of searching if you'd like to know about it. I'd do it for ya but i gotta get going to work, so maybe I'll try later & adding it on here.

To be fair, Braun was being positioned into a Big Show role - the "big guy" who shows up from time to time and gets pushed, maybe even winning a title only to be used to elevate someone else before going back down to rando semi-comedy midcard stuff. Of course, he wasn't Big Show big (size-wise) and with Vince liking his men big, he had a ceiling. If you don't tower above the guy you're supposed to be elevating, it kind of defeats the purpose. Braun was very over for a time, but it is possible WWE brass saw things we didn't backstage - signs of what this guy could do if given too much power. Braun held up the WWE for money. Remember how his contract was expiring and he was refusing to sign unless the WWE gave him huge amounts of money? Vince remembered.
