Didn't see you mention it but a small benefit to having Topaz is that in swarm disaster levels with the trotter games, the trotters don't run/disappear if you're topaz so you can always full clear those games and get all 3 chests...very minor but nifty interaction.

you can actually play topaz as a "pseudo-seele", you have to play around turn orders though, for multiple enemies and you have your take out the lesser movs first, if your topaz has enough damage, throw numby onto a lesser mob with her skill but make sure numby's action value will down to zero after that, so when you kill that enemy, proof of debt would auto transfer to someone else which numby jumps on, so you essentially killed 2 lesser mobs in one "turn" like seele with her resurgence.

As a day 1 e1 svarog enjoyer, i think tingyun will be the best for clara/topaz teams just because clara can easily swap between hyperclarry and subdps midfight, so tingyun can just buff topaz when you need single target, clara when clearing aoe

I think Topaz has a lot of potential as a secondary damage unit when paired with Blade. With the ideal Blade team of Blade, Bronya, and Luocha, the 4th slot becomes available for any skill point neutral or positive unit. Topaz works very well as a skill point neutral damage dealer who can pretty much take care of herself once she has her bonus abilities. The buff on follow-up attacks does benefit Blade since his objective is to get as many turns as possible thanks to Bronya speed tuning.

I had the pleasure of participating in the closed beta for topaz and i found extremely fun and competitive to run triple dps and a sustain with topz blade clara and loucha or fx. It was alot of fun and i skipped jingliu just so i can have enough to e1s1 topaz

why wasn't lynx part of the sustain list she applies taunt to clara helping with clara ultimate uptime issues and she is a healer sure not the strongest sustain in the game but her eidolons make her more and more synergistic with clara by giving high amounts of effect res and a slight attack buff

Lynx is a great option for clara for sure but I didn’t want to spend to long on synergies and limited it to primarily characters with direct interplay with topaz.

Imo for sustain march is better + march has 2/3 follow up per turn plus topaz is SP positive, meaning u can allocate topaz sp to march.

@@xMomoee e6 march is easy sustain, even not e6 when u can get those +1 turn sheild duration, and also like i said, topaz is sp positive dps. Pairing with clara also kinda sp positive, depends on how you use her E. It compensate March sp negative sustain. Not to mention she has 2 follow up attack. She adds aggro to clara and if ur already raising march like me since day 1, a well built march sheild is as good as gepard. Only drawback using march for sustain u need to use skill, and with topaz it fixes her problem. Easy F2P comps.

So this is based on info that's not officially available, but I think it would be a bad idea to farm fire set at this point if you don't have it already. Because there's a new set arriving in a bit over 2 weeks that's better. Wheat set on the other hand is always good because anyone can use it.

The team I used to 3 star MoC 10 I think shows that she can be just as strong as other hunt characters because my team looks a lot like a week one Seele team except with Asta instead of Bronya/Tingyun. I used Gepard (to freeze the monke), Bailu (only healer I have that's good against the top half's elements and I only used her ult twice and skill once so 4 stars are doable), Asta, and Topaz. I think Bailu is 70/80 and the other 2 supports are 60/60, so I don't have the bonus atk for Gepard and I have to build Asta all tank since I don't have her free defense. My other half because it's technically relevant was Fu Xuan, Jingliu, Tingyun, and Lynx. I just barely made it with 17 cycles remaining. Full disclosure because all information for this is relevant, but I got super lucky when I kept pulling for the 4 stars, I got most of the Eidolons so I yoloed it and used all my points from the light cone area of the shop on 100 more pulls to get E6 (I don't know how but I got another copy every 20 pulls, I feel super lucky and like I'm going to regret it next time we get a healer with no more backups) I feel it's still fairly representative for being able to 3 star because my crit stats are only 60/150 with 2400 atk and 122 speed. And my Jingliu and Tingyun need work with E0 Jingliu with 2100 atk and only 184 crit dmg and Tingyun with only mediocre attack and level 9 speed boots and again only 60/70. (I need to start working on my supports) I think a big part of it is the 50% damage increase on even her basics so she technically has the strongest unenhanced basic at 150% if hitting the right enemy. (Seele's resurgence basic is technically higher with 80-88%, but since it's an elemental damage multiplier, it loses value overall after relics unless you build an attack orb)

I was expecting the 10k credits on the first mob kill but you get like 100-500 per battle based on my experience meaning its really only for dedicated players I think.

Based on calcs it wasn't a top option when building her like I recommended. Although the light cone has some randomness to it depending on your gear so it's difficult to say exactly

Great video but weird editing feedback, it is really uncomfortable when you blur the gameplay and slowly add clear text in front. A small solid background behind them (which you did in other videos in the past) helps with motion sickness during gameplay or eye strain during still idle animations.

In testing the follow up synergy didn't overcome the fact that Kafka doesn't make as much use of Topaz's proof of debt as other characters but I'll certainly be testing it again for the teams video don't worry.

I'm not sure if I'm counting the energy right, but does her e2 allow 4 turn basic attack Ults? 5 from ult, Windfall auto's are increase to 15 each (30), 25 per basic (assuming 1 numby per basic), with 5 points of wiggle room

If you check the topaz calcs in the description you can see how it impact the sp neutral rotation. Tldr though it depends how fast topaz is and how many advances numby gets to how much benefit and shorter your rotation can be with e2.

9:54 You recommend 134 speed as optimal - Is this really relevant? There is a section I read in KQM-star rail discord under "tc-thoughts" dedicated to speed break-points: 134 speed seems arbitrary unless you aim for 2 actions in the first cycle of battle, but I think that is not what the general player wants.

For optimized gameplay 134 speed is definitely what you want for endgame in memory of chaos. Of course you can play at any speed you like though, the endgame isn’t so hard that you need to min max to this level.

Need some advice, my Topaz doesn't do 10k damage and it bothers me. Her crits are 73.2 Rate and 142.8 Damage. Attack is 2157 Fire DMG is 50.3. Traces are LVL9 Talent, LVL 6 Ult and LVL 8 Skill. By God her not hittin 10k damage per numby yeets bugs me the Hell and back. Relics that are wonky are Rope and Orb. Rope is HP w/ crits LVL Max. Orb is Fire DMG LVL10. I use FUA 4pc and FUA 2pc ornaments.

Should be pretty good, but she is more hypercarry focused at least at E6 (where she really shines). As per usual you do need to speed tune a bit to make her buffs line up to not buff your sustain. Since Topaz wants to be at 134 Speed and Clara doesn't want any speed it makes it kind of tough to hit both. Basically Topaz has to be the fastest followed by your sustain to be optimal. Numby will be all over the place meaning you'll likely miss the buff on him sometimes.

Shes not bad just not as strong as other options for those double damage teams. As mentioned she is also tricky to manage lining up to get good uptime on all of the team.

Even if you dont always get the Yukong buffs on the right chars, they are so strong that even partially having them is worth it. And Numby/Svarog don't spend any stacks and can act whenever. And Topaz enables your Yukong to spam skill every turn. In this particular team she is better than Asta cus Clara doesn't want speed, and Asta doesnt provide crit buffs.

I'm fairly certain E4 Bronya functions like March's follow up, meaning it should advance Numby forward, yes. I think that wasn't brought up in the video since E4 Bronya is not a very common constellation, at least not yet.

Jing yuan. Im fact is not one of the better follow up pairings. Sure he isn’t a bad one. But March (who also sunnergizes with Clara) who can give more fast and consistent follow ups and even in some cases Kafka because a basic attack is guaranteed to launch one after Kafka take a arurn

Depends how often you need to use lynx’s skill. You can always transition to the sp positive rotation for the small damage loss anyways.

Any constellation Asta should work as long as you are running the skill point positive rotation. For sp neutral you'll likely want at least E2, E6 ideally.

I have her at 83% crit rate without Fu Xuan, 110% base crit dmg before LC and Ult, and 2800 attack. About 65% fire dmg. You said its possible to drop the fire orb for an attack orb. What do you think with these stats? Oh and I'm rolling whatever gems i get from these next 2 days to go for E1.

your CRIT DMG is for sure on the lower side, if you have an attack orb which grants a better CRIT ratio you should definitely consider using it!

Himeko is a great unit but she needs a fair bit of investment to pop off. Also her top trace is very important for her damage so if your are so new that you can't unlock it I would probably wait with building her. If you are very new your best Topaz team for now might be with March, Tingyun/Asta and Natasha. Or drop Natasha for both harmony girls if you can get away with it. March should shield herself in this team and use Landau's Choice or Moment of Victory for even more taunt.

On a new account without clara and with topaz I’d personally run a team of. Topaz, Tingyun/Asta, march and a healer. If you dont need the sustain swap march for double support.

Topaz seems like a really complex character despite her rather mundane animations. I would definitely not be sad if I got her with the 40 pulls I've saved up! Just throwing that out there Hoyo ^^ It's really interesting that E1S1 is leaning into her supportive role, but that's certainly outside my budget this time. I imagine that she will be great with Himeko as well in fire weak fights. Bring Asta to support them both with Planetary Rendezvous for insane value. Fu Xuan similarly would be double dipping on her crit rate buff in this team, while solo sustaining. I do believe for MoC March can be used as a solo sustain specifically on Clara teams. If her shield is thick enough the chance of anyone but Clara being hit is pretty low. Put March next to Clara to absorb any cleave damage and you should be good to go. I imagine Tingyun would be the best support here because benediction can go on Topaz for extra damage and the ult goes on Clara to ensure 100% uptime on her ult taunt. Can't wait for your Topaz teams video!

I think that the best team would be Topaz, Clara, Tingyun, Lynx Topaz sub dps and follow up support Clara main carry and tank Tingyun buffer and solves energy issue for Clara Lynx for substain, give aggro to Clara, aoe cleanse and some buffs *despite Clara having max aggro value, I'm pretty sure Tingyun would still be targeted, smh*

Regarding Bronya's inability to provide buff to two DPS at the same time. By spamming skill Bronya can achieve 3 turn rotation with 2 turn duration on her ult. If your choice of the second DPS is Clara, given enough speed difference (140 vs 90 if I'm not stupid), we can achieve full uptime of Crit+Atk buff on Clara.

I actually got promising returns from using Topaz alongside either Kafka (for surgical precision) and Himeko (AoE coverage). Not the biggest fan of Clara rn since her kit has anti-synergy with the current MoC buff. JY I couldn't test because I don't have him.

People need to forget about Jing Yuan (no hate, he used to be my favourite character too), Topaz will be usefull for the next Erdudition character, Argenti. Especially with the powercreeping going on. Is it worth pulling her for erudition though? Doubtful. I used Jing Yuan over Seele all the time till we had Blade, Destruction just works better. Unless Argenti is worth it ofcourse.

Not sure about Argenti just yet but does he have follow up attacks at all since that's what Topaz works with primarily.

@@GrimroGacha Yeh I take back what I said, I've read we will get a new Follow Up set that is literally made for Jing Yuan. Going to take my boy back out again for battle finally. Also, Argenti is Erudition and for some misguided reason I keep thinking, Erudition = Follow up. Basically poisoned thinking Erudition = Jing Yuan (I do love the dude his whole vibe what can I say xD). And the leaks I saw showed Argenti not even be a follow up character but a basic damage dealer except his damage will depends on his energy hence the release of the new Harmony characters soon too because he will need it. And on a final note, not sure Topaz is that useful to waste pulls on even if she is made for follow characters, we have supports and more that are coming that do it just as good and aren't locked into follow up attacks. She is a cool character but a bit niche. All this is my opinion and I could be wrong, have been before, will be wrong no doubt in the future.

Clara simp here, running a Clara, Lynx, Silverwolf, Tingyun line up. Would swapping Silverwolf for Topaz be a net positive? I used to run a Clara, Nat, Silver, Sushang but last banner gave me Lynx and Tingyun which was super hard to pass up

Im bafled how you didnt mention what, imho, should be the greatest follow up team with Topaz, which would be: Clara, March 7th, Lynx and Topaz. So much follow ups, and basically immortality for the team with insane Clara aggro

When I tested it the lack of support couldnt be made up for by the extra follow ups. It was a super tanky team though!

I think Kafka doesn’t much sense there compared to Blade or Clara, who both have better synergy and are dealing better raw dps since they are less reliant on debuffs in the enemy. You do you but I don’t think Kafka has much synergy with her. Could be interesting in st if you can get a extremely large amount of speed subs on Kafka to get her follow up attack a lot though.
