I’ve been waiting for Murph to break down Shenault. When he first got signed I was kinda like “why they need more offensive weapons” but after really getting into some of what Grubb was doing at Washington and seeing Shenaults obvious RB skills I’m very interested to see if Grubb dials up some screen plays for him and Kenny Macintosh. Grubb has those plays where the design is to get the ball carrier on the outside going 1 on 1 with a DB. That kind of stuff with 2 hybrid rb/wr players to rotate in would be interesting. Probably wouldn’t be a big volume kind of role but with DK and JSN keeping the secondary honest, having your 5th string wr or 4th string rb setup for some serious yac is gonna keep drives alive. Probably an added bonus too is that you might be able to cut someone like George Holani for Shenault which then lets you either keep an extra trench player like maybe Nelson Caeser or an extra DB like Artie burns. Who knows what the final 53 is gonna look like but in the meantime it’s a lot of fun to explore the possibilities. Thanks for the great content Murph!

Respect that seahawks content pays the bills but shenault is "just a guy.". 3 catches a game for 30 yards, 1 carry a game for five yards. Nine total returns in four years. He and eskridge can battle for guy who means the least.

Shenault plays a different brand of football. I'd personally keep Shenault over him because he's the one with the RB skill set for the Make-It-From-Scratch game and special teams background as far as being a returner that I know can get it done if healthy.

Eskridge was drafted to be the next Percy Harvin and so far it seems clear he just doesn't have that gear. Shenault is the more dynamic player and I'd rather have him than both of them.

@@stevenh3191 It reminds me of how the Cowboys hate giving up on players (like Quincy Carter) that they get criticized for drafting. Even when a player is a clear bust they will give the player 4 years for one decent game so they can say they were right. Eskridge isn't horrible but it's clear his ceiling is not what you'd want from a 2nd rounder
