I think for Diagnostics I really need such app but if there's an app more useful than this... I have an F20 2013 Bmw and so far your clips help me a lot about knowing what a Bmw can do although I don't own an M5 but my 118i is spectacular for Taking my chances on the road on VW's in South Africa. Tomorrow I'm changing a fuel pump I need to have such app without having to look for someone to charge me for diagnosis

@@BMWDoctor I bought the thinkdiag a couple of months ago purely for DIY, Ive got a good bit of diag stuff including the foxwell GT80 plus and this is just as good in a more compact transportable extremely well priced package and easy to use, keep up the excellent vids.

Personally I will not buy a scan tool that does not do bidirectional testing. I guess devices like this are OK for people who want some sort of an idea of what is wrong with their car. My biggest gripe with lower end scan tools is the accuracy of the codes and data. So often I have a code which is not even the correct code. In fact I often resort to deliberately disconnecting something on the car just to validate the tool. For example I disconnected a front abs sensor and got a fault for a rear sensor.

I've been looking for a good scan tool. Ordered this on amazon, then thought to look in the comments and canceled it. I have a red tire pressure light on in my e90 and need to know exactly what is is without taking shit apart lol

This might be a silly question but, why would you want to run a diagnostic to find faults and then just delete the fault codes? What does that do? Aren't the fault codes there for a reason, aren't they telling you something?

You buy whatever part you need than delete the codes so it won’t still be there?

@@TheColdestIsh I see, so if you fix the problem the fault code remains until you clear it? That seems a bit strange doesn't it? I get that if there's a fault the scanner finds it and reports it but when the fault is fixed I would have thought another scan would simply not pick up the fault since there's no longer a fault, seems odd to me bit of an unnecessary step to take after fixing a problem. Yeah,yeah.....it would be good if you didn't have to buy the same manufacturer every year. By the way you have a choice only for 5 options per year: manufacturer +4 reset options(special ones ;) or 5 manufactures without any special functions.... So I don't think any diy guy will be interested to pay on a regular basis for that....

Your video is nice, but you didn't show an important part, which is how you actually make the connection what lights should be on and so on. It's not really helpful if you did your settings before.

Your channel puts alot behind Topdon. Any videos on their good stuff? Like the Artipad 2/3? I wonder is this Launches attempt at a product strategy, flooding the entire market with so many devices from Launch themselves and then obviously getting money from these clonish/piggyback companies like Matco Maximus and ThinkCar. I struggle to figure out who these mid level pocket scanners are for. No doubt theyve gotten better, but it seems like this will just delay the real mechanics from correctly diagnosing the real problem. One thing i didn't appreciate until i matured is the ability to take and save a report. Lots of folks who get any kinda scan power ive witnessed the first way they try to fix the problem is by clearing all the codes. This doesnt fix bmw/Mercedes and when they get the car to me, i dont get the whole "story" bcuz theyve just deleted all the codes. Some will come back right away, but others will take longer. Ehh i guess. Nice videos man
