Thanks to Auto Repair Guys recommendation, I bought a ThinkDiag to help me diagnose an Electric assist steering rack and pinion unit that stopped working on a 2010 Ford Focus. The ThinkDiag scanned the VIN and then I ran a systems diagnosis and I then cleared a fault in the steering unit. Started the car and no lie, the steering worked like it should. I was amazed. Thanks again ARG's.!

I just ordered one. I have the same problem with a 2013 Ford Focus that had a dead battery for a long time. The TPMS sensors also went bad which I am told with cause the Steering system to not work. Hopefully all it needs is to be reset like yours! I will update!

I bought mine about 10 months ago n it's the real deal. It paid for its self the first time I used it. But don't 4 get to pull it out every time or you will leave it In a customer car. But Thinkdiag do offer a cable I think it's around $30 bucks.

Is this device capable of programming a new ecm #1 in a 2002 Audi A4 Quattro 3.0 v6? I got this beautiful car as is a few months ago and it didn’t come with the ecm, fuel pump, secondary air injection pump or valve, and the fuel level sending unit was broken and had to be replaced. Is ross tech VCDS the only way to achieve installing the necessary programs to make a new used computer work for any Audi with the same engine or is there any affordable way to do this at home? Please enlighten me .

I bought one from Alibaba and it not working well on Land Rover Range Rover Sport cannot even reset an oil service and half of the modules and Mercedes W220 S500 only read 25 per cent of it. My personal experience on this ThinkDiag I would give 2 stars out of 5 Stars

Hey Daniel sorry to hear that but to shed some light on your situation I'll circle the problem for you, ALIBABA is the problem ...probably a knockoff cheap made replica of the THINKDIAG.... I wouldnt plug anything into my bicycle from ALIBABA "if possible" let alone my land Rover and the same goes for WISH..... you get what you pay for and I always hear ppl who own bmw, Mercedes, Audi, etc complain about the car manufacturers or how much it cost them to have their cats replaced at 80k miles cause the Chinese o2 sensors they had replaced a year before the cats went bad was not reading and sending the correct or accurate data to the ecm or the ecm was not properly reading the data from the o2 sensors because the voltage range is not accurate in the o2 sensors......, So I always tell new customers if you insist on saving a few dollars and taking the risk take it anywhere but the electronic ecm, bcm, pcm, cause that Chinese fuel injector that you thought saved you 60$ 8 months ago that appeared to be working fine was actually not closing completely causing fuel to drip into the cylinder when the vehicle was sitting and slowly over time getting passed the piston rings and leaking down into the crankcase causing the oil viscosity to breakdown at a much faster rate and not properly lubricating the engine leading to worn camshaft lobes, valve stem seals failing causing the car to produce white smoke, connecting rod bearings failing from excessive friction heat...etc, so although those cheap Chinese parts may appear to be working when they're first installed more times than not actually end up causing more damage in the long run and starting a domino affect

Let’s ask real questions about this scanner. Will it reset BWM xDrive adaptation settings? How useful it is to find faults for a parasitic amp draw? Codes are just codes. Real DYI mechanics need dealer level useful options.

It literally does no programming. They seem to have falllen off. I still see places online that states injector coding, however it doesnt. Not whatsoever. Doesnt do injector test on my 02 f250 super duty even. Straight b.s. if you want good, you need to drop bread. 2k for something that will be pleasing. At least for me.

You know these cant even change the AlphNumeric TPMS codes on your ECU to match new ones in your wheels. Their TPMS Scanners can convieniently only program their own over prices sensors. Their tech support cant even properly read emails taking in only what suits them. These units are complete rubbish if you need teck support or anything complicated.
