Someone had a really interesting explanation recently, they said it's because after ww2 there were restrictions on Japan. I had an 88' Camry that I've beat and tortured. I delivered food in it and didn't change the oil or even check it for ≥ 30k miles, brought it mudding, it was t boned and I just rubbed the dent out and used the insurance money to replace the exhaust manifold, raced newer ricer cars in it at merges and won, j turns, power slides, ran over concrete curbs for a short cut, rammed ice snow banks, and was still able to sell it for $700. ali gunaydin You know I own a 2015 W212 E350 and to be honest I love it. They are indeed less reliable if you’re not willing to maintain it or if you treat it like a Toyota, it’s just isn’t a Toyota period. But if you are willing to fork out the $300 oil changes, $600 spark plug service, $500 transmission Sevice, follow the service Intervals closely and prepared to pay for parts that are Inherently more expensive then it should last you a lifetime. Then the reward is a supremely smooth ride with the legendary solid handling and sound isolation that you just can’t quite get in a Japanese car. There is just something about a European car.
@garretthu2466
@garretthu2466 4 жыл бұрын
wantafanta01 not sure about bikes, the things that need to be done isn’t insane on my E350...10k/annual oil changes, Brake fluid replacement every 20k, 45k for spark plugs, 77.5k for transmission. Of course you also have the engine air filter every 10k-20k. So it’s bit outside of the regular maintenance of modern Japanese cars but the service costs are about 30-40% more (using authorized dealers).

quasi history nerd here, Japanese tanks were mainly made against the Chinese who didn't have tanks at all... so they just said let's make the fastest lightest one we can. Besides mud on the Chinese mainland did prevent a lot of mobility
@GusCraft460
@GusCraft460 2 жыл бұрын
@@adilmohammed6897 there were a lot of reasons that Japanese tanks were so dinky, but a lack of serious anti-tank threats was a big one. Japan just wasn’t under a lot of pressure to make more heavily armored tanks. There was also the issue of all tanks would need to be delivered by ship to the battlefield, and the army and navy hated each other and were constantly competing for steel. The battlefields of the pacific theater were also just not very conducive to tank combat. It was largely amphibious assaults on beaches where fortifications are a better investment than armored vehicles.

they could design tanks, just they kept giving steel to the navy, then the cavalry and army wanted different things such as cavalry wanting fast tanks to keep up with trucks and army wanted thicker armor to help cover the infantry
