As a kid in the 80s l only knew of his other hit A Good Heart. But after hearing this song in the mid 90s l fell in love with this song. Especially the horns. This would have to be my all time favourite 80s song. Even though l know all of Queen, AC/DC,The Police,Eurythmics, and many more 80s bands.

Did you know Maria McKee wrote A Good Heart after she’d split up with Benmont Tench, then Benmont wrote You Little Thief about Maria. Feargal decided to release them one after the other. Brilliant.

My favourite Feargal Sharkey moment: in the early 2000's, he became very prominent supporting live music and venues as part of his roles in the music industry - I am, and was, a mobile DJ, working bars and clubs at that time and I used to attend PLASA, a huge DJ equipment trade show at Earls Court in London. One year, Feargal showed up to do an onstage presentation to passionately talk about the importance of live acts and how DJ's were taking those opportunities away from performers... he basically showed up to personally hate us, to our faces, and I couldn't stop laughing! Top bloke! 🤣🤣🤣

I have no idea what made me come looking for this, but here I am enjoying it. I never realised he turned up 3 sheets to the wind with most of his village, but they certainly look like they're enjoying it 🤣 R2, why do you play the same shite over and over and never this? It's a strange song in a way because the lyrics totally oppose the act on stage, former is hurt and sad, latter is a load of people totally enjoying themselves, look at the drummers exchange at 4.32. It's just fucking great and is in my all time top 20.

The blonde drummer is June Miles-Kingston. She played with a lot of bands in the 80s including the Communards and, I think, Everything But The Girl. Not sure who the other one is though. Do you or anyone else happen to know the name of the guitarist to Feargal's left - on the right looking at the screen?

The blonde is June Miles-Kingston. She was in a punk pop group named Mo-Dettes and later played drums and backing vocals for Fun Boy Three, The Communards and Everything But The Girl. I do not know the name of the other drummer but I do remember her from the music video for Scritti Politti's Wood Beez (Pray Like Aretha Franklin).
