yup. another reviewer concluded about the same, that it doesn't really do any one particular job amazingly well, and can do several jobs passably, but given it's size and weight, you're better off with other tools. i got the Tops SBX Extreme. It's a tracker meets survival/tactical knife. it'll be my "one knife" if stuck in a survival situation.

Shame it doesn't have the convex edge the designer asked for. I use my silky to cut wood; its a lot less jarring. It is useless in my opinion.

I'm more of a borneo parang user however this kukri is better then the tracker I've had allot of experience & invested time & money with the give and take with different blades you would like the extrema ratio 9 inch kukri for the balance & the steel holds a edge longer like I say get out there & use your knives don't play with them

This particular kukri hasn't ever been on my radar, the blade is shaped wrong and it is too short. I have been using traditional khukuri for many years and the shape of the blade makes them a lot more intuitive to use. For Tops knives I personally love the Prather War Bowie and the CUT 4.0. Both actually make great multi use knives. You would think, until you actually see the blade, that the Prather would have a weak tip but the way it is ground makes it pretty strong.

It is shorter for a reason, and the blade is shaped the way it is also for a reason. You might want to watch some of the videos on my channel. I have used traditional Khukuri for decades - lots of experience behind this design.

@@l.v.i.bushcraftandsurvival6692 I watched all the videos you posted multiple times. The videos helped me conclude that I wasn't risking the cash, the design is not for me. I understand (from my own usage of the khukuri design) why you wanted it to be the way you designed it, but from my perspective it is not a khukuri I am interested in. I mulled and researched for six months before I finally decided no, not for me. This year I even designed my own modern take on the khukuri and although I really love it, I often find myself still gravitating back to the traditional ones in my collection. It wasn't an easy decision not to buy yours as you designed it very well and nothing I am saying is ment to detract from that. You seem to have designed it for a very advanced skillset, which makes sense given your own, with very specific style in mind. My original post was too harsh, I should have reread it and worded things a bit different in hindsight.

@@turtlewolfpack6061 I appreciate that. I also understand that no one knife is going to be for everyone - that is why there are so many knives out there. I am not immune to having many knives other than my own, I cannot just stick to one knife. We are all knife nutbags hahaha! Good luck with your new blade 🙂

@@l.v.i.bushcraftandsurvival6692 actually, if you aren't too busy, as a fellow khukuri aficionado I would like it if you would go and take a look at the video I posted about Nopealope and give me your thoughts on it? Any feedback, even virtual like that, would be greatly appreciated. I also posted some close up pics on IG. I AM NOT asking for a sub, I really don't care if the channel grows, but sometimes people miss something that is right in front of them.
