Great video man. I am so glad I found this. I have a T1 and never knew T3 was corrosion resistant. I live on the ocean. I’ll be picking up a t3.

Thank you:-) T3 is definitely a good choice for your area. "Just a little update" was the anniversary T3 edition made of S35VN steel, it is hard to find today, but it might be interesting for you if you haven´t noticed that. Have a great time there:-) FM

Hello Mantis, you do a great job describing the purpose, function and demonstrating all with this knife. Due to the price of this tool I've yet to be able to purchase one myself so I have taken the liberty to create my own variation of the tracker knife. Your in-depth videos have been a great, Great insight into what I need to be able to hopefully top the Tops tracker! Keep doing, what you are doing! Your in-depth work, with this tool, is greatly appreciated. I only wish that I could match your abilities

I always wanted a tracker . I can only get one which do you think is the one too big to be useful as a knife ? And are the others not as good as chopping ? I was thinking the two . What would be your choice if you only had one to choose ?
@forestmantis1737 Жыл бұрын
Well, T1 (the original) could be too big (and heavy) for someone, as a knife. None of these is a slicer because of the thickness of those blades. On the other hand, all of them are good choppers and splitters compared to the size. For me, if only one, then T3 made of 154CM steel is the best choice, but also the most expensive. Have a great time:-) FM

I have the Tom tracker 1 and 4. The 4 is one of the three edc’s I carry and is my favorite but I’m for sure going to spring for the 2 and 3 to see which one makes a good throwing knife
@forestmantis17373 жыл бұрын
:-)) Well, I like and especially for throwing (IF any Tracker), then T3, but truth is, Trackers generally are not the best knives for throwing, as we know:-) Thanks for the comment anyway. FM

Hi, thanks for the comment. You asked me basically about my EDC which you can see, I gues, in all my videos sits on my belt. Because this is subject of my another video, I want type everything here, but a tool knife, some fire starter, a torch light, bits, a little saw, usualy 2 knives as a combo etc. FM
@justinhunt36874 жыл бұрын
@@forestmantis1737 I too want tool knife. I carry T1 daily, yes it is heavy but no other knife can compare for me. I just bought T3 thinking it would be better for me, maybe something different would be better. I don't think it will be better than T1 for me. Keep making videos about trackers. I enjoyed the try stick video also. Cheers JH

@@justinhunt3687 Thank you:-) As a company knife for T1/T3 I always prefer a different knife shape - like the TOPS Bootleegger in the video or BR Miniaurora/Kalahari Bushman 2 or some other knives I have. FM

Which one is the best edc size? T2 or T3?
@forestmantis17374 жыл бұрын
:-) OK, this is not an easy question, so without any details like where do you live urban/field/forest etc., T2 is the choice just because the size and weight. FM

Great video my friend, I subbed to watch your reviews on the Tracker, I also own all four of the TOPS, and have a couple videos out on how I use mine. Are you in the TOPS Knives Users forum on Facebook or the Tracker action pics thread in BCUSA?

It is not a sawback...it is a notcher. The chopping would go easier if you used the correct area of the blade....closer to the tip, just saying.
@forestmantis17374 жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you for "corrections". 1) The "notcher" term I even couldn´t find in e-dictionary, if I used a google a get this result: www.google.com/search?q=notcher&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjN5rmv4d3pAhVFUcAKHeXACukQ_AUoAXoECAkQAw&biw=1920&bih=975 Anyway, the "sawback" term is in knife comunity standard for this kind of "saw". About the chopping, add the particular time please, I belive, I got esperince to chop on the right spot of a knife but may be, in some situation… Still learning:-) FM
