Makar, Toews, Theodore, Pietrangelo, Ekblad, Montour, Weegar on "D" "F" lines as follows: The "Bluenose" line of Marchand & MacKinnon centred by Crosby. Hyman & Scheiffle centred by McD Barzal & Marner centred by Point Toffoli & Tom Wilson centred by O'Reilly. Bedard as extra.

if you nominate fleury for team canada as a "teaching" goaltender, then stamkos could fill the same role as a 'teaching" forward; good chemistry with a number of his former tampa teammates as well;

Robert Thomas is easily better than more than half the forwards you listed. In fact, so is Nick Suzuki.

Wasn't sold on Petro, a little long in the tooth, but your argument about the top 2 pairings on D being team mates makes too much sense, in a short tourney... So yeah you sold me... I like Tanev too, as a stay at home, shutdown guy... Bouchard makes my team too, playing on the 2nd pp unit... Suzuki over O'reilly all day everyday and twice on Sunday... Ditto Lafreniere over Stamkos... Bedard, despite being a liability at times in the most recent Senior Men's WC, is my 13th forward, his upside is just too intriguing to leave the kid at home...Marner and Marchard are definitely on my team... Not sold on Hyman... BUT BUT BUT... I KNOW TC brain-trust , barring injury, will pick him In goal, Binner will be there for sure... BUT BUT BUT... To me, the goalies with the biggest upside/A game are Skinner and Montour, so no Hill (his Stanley Cup notwithstanding) for me... Less we forget... MAF won multiple cups and never started a single game for our A-Team (also had a meltdown in WJC Gold Game, but let's not talk about that)

For me it’s brazal over Hegel and you put the all Nova Scotia line together And my 7th defenceman is nurse you need the truculence Who’s going to contend with Brady and Mathew It’s like Matt rempe in New York he isn’t playing much this year but when teams have a tough guy he’s called up You don’t want a Tom Wilson vs NRY situation
