A city made from the sand of the surrounding desert. Everything was the same color except for the wonderful colors of cloths hanging in the breeze. The exterior carving work on the buildings was beautiful. The absence of glass and steel is great. Very educational video. Thank you.

Great observations. Sustainable living is a hep phrase today. But Indians have lived that way for 5000+ years. Recently i realised Starbucks in US serve yellow milk with turmeric as a new drink. Indians use turmeric milk as an antiseptic n cure for sore throats for centuries. Just one example.

Another fabulous video and takes me back again to my happy days in India. I lived and worked there for 2 1/2 years and I called it home. I place I was heartbroken to leave. It's way more complex than people think it is, within the same state the culture can be entirely different and the people and the geography too. For example take the state Rajasthan where Jaisalmer city (Golden City) is , it is entirely different from the other cities like Udaipur (white city), Jodhpur (Blue City), Jaipur (Pink city)

19:30 wow what a legend this guy a musician, instrument maker and a conversationalist. Didn't expect him to suddenly start speaking in better English than 80% of the country. I am not calling him conversationalist because of the english speaking though(it's just another language), but the way he asked your name back and then pronounced it correctly is what made me say so. . Bdw, Rajasthani people are the most welcoming people amongst the Indians and are most open to other cultures. so probably they are the most welcoming on earth too, their soul song literally means "Welcome to our country". This is also reflected in their linguistic skill, I find from my practical experience that they are highly adept at picking up other languages and nuances of other cultures.

I’ve been an adventure rider for many years and I watch a lot of KZbin riders. And I like IB a lot, however I get so sick of the obsequious comments from people who don’t ride themselves and just want to gush over the fact that a woman is doing this. For what it’s worth I’ve known a few female riders who did it without eye liner, nail polish and the admiration of others. They did it for the buzz, the sheer fookoffness of an unpredictable life. Just for a moment imagine a great adventure…without documenting it. Now that’s something. That’s pure.

Last time in Jaiselmer...40 years ago...a beautiful, small,sleepy, fairy tale town in the desert...stayed in the desert with one camel driver and 2 camels...1001 nights.. now incredibly noisy, expanded..explosion. Hampi...been there a couple of times as well..totally alone wandering in this beautiful landscape...visiting on separate occasions, 2 sadhu's living in caves near the river...had 2 chillums made to support them...now it's incomparable . Colva, Goa...once a paradise...now complete chaos. ...used to walk to Benaulim, playing backgammon with the locals in the only beach shack!!!!...walking back in the night...have a swim and walk through the paddy fields to my place...Goa changed into the Indian Spanish costas...Went to the Mysore Palace museum...you are alone !! In the middle of the night..strolling through Old Delhi... go to the Red Fort and see the sunrise from one of the towers. Photographed the Magh Mela in Allahabad for 3 weeks...no westerners!!! Travelled to the Ran of Kutch...visited Bhuj for a week...incredible nice people...again no westerners.....Those were the days!!!

India's population explosion is the problem in 40 years we doubled, even though the fertility rate is stable the population size peaks in 2050 around 1.5/1.6 billion then will start to decrease and in 2100 it will be the same as now 1.3/1.4 billion, then the population will be on a steady decline and stabilizing around 800 million.
@peterselie6500
@peterselie6500 Жыл бұрын
that's true but this explosion mainly happened in rural area''s...villages..with a cause. Since India opened , a lot of people got very rich...200.000000 ...and the rest stayed behind. the average is roundabout 4,5 kids per family...but the rural area's, with a much higher average, don't cause the problem. If you land in Delhi, make sure you got oxygen with you.I think these 200 millions cause a lot of problems.@@0arjun077

@@martin96991 are you serious? It does not take money to simply keep a plastic wrapper in your pockets or bag or purse or wherever and not throw it on streets. This has become a bad habit. I have seen well educated, US diploma holders, rich af Indians littering. Just a simple fine of ₹500 if implemented effectively can solve the problem but our vote hungry govs won't do it.

@@RomitDholakia5 I still thinks that it has to do a lot with money, most cities which are rich in INDIA are comparatively cleaner, because when people have money they can afford quality education,life and many other resources houses rather than tents on roadside, shops rather than stalls Which are one of the main reason of pollution...... it's my personal perspective.

Hi Noraly,an advice from one rider to another, when you ride in India 🇮🇳, especially through towns and cities, please put the Google Maps in Car or4 wheels routes. That way you might get some better and less scary roads which are not a maze game.😊😊😊

So happy you got a beautiful upgraded luxurious room because some of the rooms you have had over the years were at the opposite end of spectrum! The architectural detail in some of those buildings boggles the mind. Can anyone even do that today? Thank you for the hard work it takes to bring us enjoyment. Ride Safe, Peace, and God Bless! ❤❤❤

Hi Noraly, when you say Chai, do you mean Marsala Chai (The spiced version)? Normally with tea you don’t boil it, it makes its bitter, but not if you use Assam tea (native to India), also part of the process is to reduce the fluids by boiling, so it becomes thicker than normal tea. This was the recipe that I was taught from a camel herder while on a camel trek in Osiyan 1 cup Water 1 tbsp Sugar 1 tbsp Assam Loose Leaf Tea 1/2 cup Milk, full Cream 3 ea Whole Cloves 8 ea Black Pepper Corns 3 ea Cardoman pods 1 ea Cinnamon stick Directions Add the water, sugar and tea to a saucepan and boil for five minutes. Add the milk and boil for five minutes, making sure the mixture doesn’t boil over. Add the spices and boil for another five minutes. Drain through an open weave cloth and serve.

Really the highlight of this video is Jaisalmer and its fort and homes, not going "topspeed". I feel that the title should reflect that :) It is such an amazing place. I visited Jaisalmer and stayed in the fort back in 1990. It seemed like a sleepy town then, not so commercial and crowded. I do remember people were starting to get satellite dishes so you'd see them all over. The world was starting to change. Amazing to be taken back there after all these years. A truly special place. Thank you . . .

140 kph = 87 mph which is excellent for a fully loaded bike of that size. I'm really lovin' your India series. Also chai is the best! I remember your tube change episode from Argentina. The buildings were very cool. It looked like the woman on the back of the scooter was holding on for dear life. A bike bigger than Basan2 would be a disadvantage for the streets you're riding. @@anthonysimoes7307 hi mate. While I am not a professional or anything, Duke 390 ADV loves high rpms. It is not meant for low rpm/slow speeds is what I read/heard. It is a short stroke engine. So, no wonder you can hit 160 with that. It's 44bhp anyways. And it is much much lighter than Himalayan. That factor helps in speed. I do not have any idea about 310GS though. Cheers.
