A few more things 1) mileage at 200 Km/h with speed cruiser: 20L/ 100km (according to the computer). I could test it while driving back from Karlsruhe (Germany) to Strasbourg (France). 2) At 5500 all the way to 6500 you get a kick (gears 1 to 4). Possible explanation. until 5500 the power is fully controlled by the computer and delivered in a very linear way. I saw a video a while back showing that strange power curve from a bench they did. 3) 208 km/h at 6000 in gear 5. The Mazda 3 does not have that limitation. However the tires of the CX-30 are only validate for 210 km/h 4) The car doesn't hold 200 km/h in gear 6 most of the time. The new version of the engine should help with that. 5) at high speed (> 170km/h?) on German highway, Autobahn, the Mild-hybrid seems to be deactivated because each time I drive out of the highway, the battery is at max of its capacity. Yes there is a lithium battery below the passenger seat. by the way, the new DS4 2021 will give a run for its money to the CX-30. Gorgeous and if the engines are good that will be the day. DS are the premium car for Peugeot-Citroen

great observation. 1. fuel consumption was high on the autobahn but not unusual for a petrol-powered car. 2. Interesting will also try to find out 3. it felt good at 200 plus but it didn't have enough power to go much faster 4.yes every little hill will slow you down and you need to shift which is a bit annoying 5.I am not sure what the mild hybrid is doing in this car it might just be to run the internal electronics and not boost the power I have been seeing more and more ds on german roads and I'm quite intrigued the designs are bold and exciting

They're actually very quiet, not much road noise. At least not in mine (2023)

I just drove this car yesterday at the autobahn in Germany for the first time. It was smooth and smooth can be but (as expected because of physics...), at great speeds the mileage becomes horrible. I did a small experiment drove one way on the right lane only at 90ish km/h for about 400 km and the car used less than 5L/100km! Then I did a few hundred km and whenever possible pressed it to 180 km/h ish. It used a good 3x more gas for the same distance 😅😅

@@TopSpeedBrothers Belgium was the first in EU to offer new Skyactive-X. Now it's avaliable anywhere, even here in PL. Go to mazda website and check it out. Also there is a rumor that old generation of Skyactive-X will receive SPIRIT 1.1 update which will increese HP and Nm. There are even comparsion videos on YT but only in JP. It's not confirmed yet if it will be avaliable for EU customers.

I read about it on one of forums and You can find some info using google and typing "SPIRIT 1.1" (only in japanese but can use translation feature to understand the common sense). Can't find anywhere any review of new skyactive-x engine, they are avaliable on mazdaz online configurator thou... It's not much but it would be nice to have 6HP and 16Nm extra...

German drivers are excellent drivers once they pass the driver schooling and training system. But it is not easy, the combined failure rate for theory and practical tests could be up to 75%. That filters out a lot of idiots on the road.

Mazda make nice car but 180 ps and 9 s->0-100. It's very bad. Hybrid mode and sport car. That's not a good mix. But consumption and original look = mazda is very interesting constructor
