I’m glad ping sponsors you. You are a great teacher. I love how technical you get in your explanations. It helps me to really understand what I should be feeling and expecting when trying to do something correctly and create good habits! Keep up the great work Clay!

Just commenting as a huge THANKS for helping me get more consistent and add distance to my driver. Just got home from a scramble, we played my drive on every hole except one (I drove it through the fairway 🤷🏻♂️ I didn't think I could hit it that far). My drives today were where I wanted them, 270 - 290 was my range (I'm 51). So thanks Clay! My driver used to be a swing and Hope club but for the past few trips out it's been a very solid club in my bag.

As an older player, really good advice that we don't need to wind up, but be aware of left shoulder/chin and position of driver. Thank you!

Clay very helpful, there was a sketch in a golf magazine 15-20 years ago that focused on left lead foot right heal, "Spiked" into ground, even during weight shift to right side, Found this technique helpful to keep balance, make good contact. Is that just for beginners? Thanks, I recommended you to Ann Liguori who does a golf radio show in NYC. Best, Ken

Clay how about a video of what happens with a swing that is not timed properly. Like finishing the hip rotation at the same time that the hands reach the top of the backswing.

Great video, sticking to the basics which I love.

One point, to get a proper feel for the club going up you must be on your lead foot early, if not the feel for the club going up will feel like you have to force it to go up instead of just tracking on plane or your knuckles riding along that circle if that makes sense.

Hi Clay. Suggestion...would you consider doing a video on how to warm up before a round? I swing a weighted club, but many times I don't feel properly loosened up. Help!!

seems reasonable. Will try this next time I'm on the range, and if it works, use it on the course..

Hi Clay; The issue I have with driver is that I hit it too low with too little distance & while I know why, I can't seem to fix it. My ball position is correct & it's teed high enough but I'm not staying behind the ball & swinging up properly. When I do manage to do it properly, I sometimes pop it up but most times I'm rotating my hips too quickly & too flat causing low line drives. Is there a fix for this? Any drills you can recommend? Thanks much!

Do you turn the club up with your irons as well?

Would love to find a drill that helps differentiate a release from a flip, to show how to release at the right time

Been hitting bombs all year Clay. 131 club speed is my fastest speed so far. My average playing speed is up 12 mph since starting your program. Currently working on the pitching. Now that I'm swinging faster the 60yds and in shots are touchless lol. Thanks again you and the staff are awesome.

I’ve been hitting 290+ power fade missiles all season with Clay’s help. Slow takeaway to a full turn, & then let ‘er eat! 😎

Lol I've been hitting them straight as a crow flies. I now have issues hitting fades and draws lol. Such a great feeling putting them out there past your buddies ain't it? 😁

I’m hitting on top of club. Some awful shots !!
@4pitts1burgh283 жыл бұрын
@@mrcommonsense9074 like the crown of the club or high on the face? Either lower the tee or maybe the ball is too much towards center hitting the club at the bottom of your swing instead of on the up swing. I'm no coach but that's what's popping in my head

I start snap hooking later in the round after hitting it straight. have to solve that issue.

Turning shoulder and hips fully can be a problem for older golfers hence we lose power.

Lift your left heal up if you are a right handed golfer. It frees up your hip and shoulder turn.
@mikerodrick24303 жыл бұрын
Turn your chest, not just your shoulders which is many times misinterpreted. You can turn your shoulders without turning your chest. Use your chest to turn your arms & shoulders. This works especially well for pitches as well. It keeps you connected. Obviously, on the downswing, the arms have to move faster than on the backswing & that's where hip rotation begins the downswing to open your body to make room for your arms to swing through.

When I’m hitting it good on my downswing I feel like my left hip actually goes back rather than towards the target. Does that make sense?
@denniskline32253 жыл бұрын
If I'm understanding this correctly, you are just changing the swing plane to obtain a draw or fade. So your hips, knees shoulders and feet remain on the line to your target?
@sullygully19763 жыл бұрын
No, for a fade you aim shoulders and feet left, opposite for draw.

Ok...do you have an exercise or drill to increase the shoulder turn? Stretching ? Or what.....I am not 29 any longer
