Thanks Danny, at 77 I thought my best years were behind me but your weekly lessons always give me something to work on. Had an op for prostate cancer last year, all clear now, so looking forward to next season and getting my handicap of 16.6 down to a respectable level. Great, simple ideas from Xander. Need to get off to the range to work on them. Thanks again Danny. Happy New year

I just turned 80 a few days ago and decided to move up the the "ladies" tees, which I now have dubbed the "eighties" tees. This has allowed me the potential to reach more greens in regulation and I am enjoying the game much more. I didn't start playing golf until I was 54, so I did not have the advantage of establishing a swing in my younger years. I have been watching and learning much from Danny's videos for a few years and he has really helped my game. Two most important lessons I've learned from Danny is that the golf swing is a CIRCLE and that it is necessary to find and hit the LOW POINT of the swing in front of the ball (for all clubs except driver). The graphics in Danny's videos that show the swing arc and other helpful mechanics are invaluable to really seeing how the swing works properly. I also appreciate Danny's videos that include other golf experts such as Xander. The fact that these expert coaches and players are willing to participate in Danny's videos is a terrific testament to Danny's abilities and teaching methods. The fact that Danny now has closer to 1.5 million subscribers also reflects his enormous popularity and effectiveness as a golf coach. Congratulations to Danny on his success!

Refreshing hearing a Tour Pro being honest about his game. He knows his limitations, he admits there’s multiple other guys on the tour that can hit it further. It’s also amazing to hear how he changes his swing so much to gain more yardage off the tee. Great channel, keep up the good work.

Not only does Xander keep it simple, but Danny and Xander kept the analysis down to something we can all understand, instead of getting lost in the technical weeds. Xander is a hell of an athlete - marvel at how fast he snaps through the ball - but if we amateurs could perform such a simple swing at even half the speed we’d probably all improve massively. Thanks Danny and Xander. More of the same please!

Danny, thank you for your clear and easy teaching style. It's helped me immensely. Having Xander describe his setup and swing routine was awesome. His simple approach and description of how he adjusts to what works with his body style and personal traits validated my approach. I am making incremental improvements, but my joy for the game has improved far beyond my golf score.

Hi Danny - thanks so much for all the help you provide. Watching the video with Xander I noticed a couple of interesting things. Firsr was the width of his stance which seemed to be a little wider than the standard shoulder width. I can see where that may provide a bit more stability and help stop any swaying in the back swing. The brief discussion about the lifting of the left heal and making sure that the knee is not just bent forward which seemed to help improve the quality of the back swing. Another point was the idea of opening the club face in relation to the aiming spot. Focusing on that can help be more consistant. Lastly the discussion about clearing the 300 yard sand trap - although as a 78 year old i would over joyed to be able to even reach the 300 yard sand trap - at my home course there is a cluster of sand traps on one hole about 200 yards out and the technique he outlined gives me hope. Thanks again your insigt is much appreciated!

Danny, I fully enjoyed this post with guest Xander Shauffele. It was very helpful to hear a tour player describe his path to hitting a driver consistently and with distance over the years. The video segments showing how he sets up his shot from the tee box to a spot in the fairway and beyond to the green was quite enlightening. A little bit of ball movement in his stance, to a lifting of his left shoulder and left heel to compensate for torso movement was very interesting for me in regards to my set up process. My thanks to you and Xander.

Self awareness of your swing mechanics and how different small changes affect the moment of impact is key. Thank you Danny for trying to keep it simple for us!

Loved seeing the way Xander sets his left shoulder so high to get much more shoulder tilt than I realised. Xander seems to have a very simple and honest approach to his driver swing.

Loved Xander on feeling "free" when he hits a driver. I'm the same way. You get to tee the ball up, for starters. And how he gets himself pumped up to take a rip. I do too, but can't stripe it like he does. Keep them coming Danny...

As usual, great video Danny, loved the way Xander explained his swing and subtle changes he makes, especially the left heel, which is a good tip for us older golfers. Xander seemed so relaxed and seems such a genuine and kind person.

This is what I want to see more in videos like this! With the millions of swing thoughts we amateurs are trying to limit to a couple in our round, I love listening to what goes through these tour players’ minds. Tons of good nuggets from Xander. Great stuff!!

Love how laid back this interview was. Zander one of my favs, he gave my son a ball during a Monday practice round at Wells Fargo. My 3 yr old son started singing “Let it Go” from Frozen and they thought it was hilarious.

Thanks for the videos Danny. Xander moving the ball forward that much was impressive. I’m 60 yeas young and this is my 4th season. I went from shooting over 100, to the 90’s and last season broke 90. I’ve been watching the videos and I contribute my small successes to Danny’s videos. Thanks Danny and keeping coming.

Loved the casual exchange between you both and the reinforcement of two points - dropped right shoulder and lifted left heel. So easy. Many thanks.
