What I’ve found is that when it finally clicked on how to shallow the club, staying down through impact happened naturally. Prior to that and no matter how good my swing felt with changes, every video I would review of my swing had the slight over the top move in the downswing which got the club steep and resulted in standing up at impact to save it. This channel has been absolutely instrumental in explaining how to properly shallow the club and cannot thank y’all enough for the excellent content.

This is THE best video. I tried this.... focused only on this when playing last time. WOW, what a difference. Shots were longer, straighter, and not as high. I didn't realize how I was coming out of my posture. Thank you so much. This note is from a 68 year old grandma!!!!LOL

Love the noodle gadget you built. Please list the parts you used to make it - I wanna replicate it. Thanks.

It's just a block of wood, a flag pole holder, an alignment stick and a pool noodle. Thanks for watching!

I always pair this downward move with moving my centers to the left to help with impact. So what I am feeling from the top is my left shoulder getting lower but also a few inches left. In my mind it is the thought of that left shoulder moving diagonally down and left from the top. If I am doing the anti roll method correctly this allows me better ball first contact and as I come through the shot I can turn as hard and as fast as I want. As long as I maintain balance I wont be out of control. Good video Q

Quentin, every time I hear your presentation of ideas about the golf swing, I go back to the student union building at Brooklyn College in 1977, when a student of history recounted all the historical details leading up to major events in history. Like the intricate events leading up to either WW1 or WW2. We should not be intimidated by the truth ,that life offers a constant learning experience. For me lately,(I’m right handed)I wrenched my right lower back by not rotating enough with my left shoulder while hitting through the ball. How many seconds does a golf swing take? How fast do putts roll?

Just found your videos for Top Speed Golf. Loving the clear explanation. Will certainly give this a try. Liked the last one I saw about hip turn 50 degrees. Really good advice 👌 (Alan)

Your explanations are amazing, thank you. I have been playing only for four months so far, but when my body moves down as your does I hit behind the ball. I don't understand, can you help explain please? If you're dipping down that far how are you still making contact with the ground after the ball?

I started golf back in march and I never knew why my I hit my shots so high even my 4 iron and 3 iron are super high and than I recorded myself at the range yesterday and realized everything was good until impact and I was standing up right at impact

If you drop down like that, what stops you from hitting it fat because you are closer to the ground?

In this video demonstration his club head is actually beyond the point where head touches the device he is using. If one wants to try this against a wall, as he suggests, there would be no room for the club. So, is this an over-exaggeration? If the head is aligned with the wall and the clubhead and ball are on the same plane then he is saying that your head should remain almost over top of the ball during the swing. Is this correct? Also, if it is correct, it might be possible with a wedge, I don't see how it is possible with a longer club. Thoughts?

Having the straight line from the hips to the middle of your feet....is that how you want to set up for the driver as well?

What is demonstrated here is old and outdated, and is basically is "If you are a fat slob and have ZERO athlete ability, do this"..if you want power and distance, go watch Rory McIlroy's swing...Rory gets his hands away from his body to create width and power, this is a fat-guy slumping over to hit a golf ball...The opposite of anything remotely athletic

When i move down I ran out of space for club to hit the ball. I hit the ground. How do i fix that?

I've had trouble with this problem as well, but, what really helped me out was transferring my weight and moving my body through the ball. Also keeping my chest over the ball through my whole swing.

My club is too shallow in the downswing. What causes that?
@milehighkid852 жыл бұрын
Club path, you’re coming over the top and the hands are trying to compensate to getting towards the ball, you’re also more than likely standing up as he says. Staying down thru impact and shallowing the club will fix all of that. What you’re doing is called chopping wood, you’re coming to steep into the ball, on top of it.

This took me to Clay’s video on the natural method of shallowing the club. Talk talk talk- what a bunch of baloney. Sorry, enjoy the videos generally but this was ridiculous.
