Useful, especially for me who's working on shallowing path and from the inside. My divots have mainly been deep and to the left so I know what I've been doing... Slowly getting there tho, thanks to the system.

Great work on the heel up toe in first. Lie angle of clubs might need adjusting slightly in some cases, but the stand up into impact is the main reason 👍🏼
@TopSpeedGolf6 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for the comment and I agree. You can only get your lie angle adjusted so far though :-) Play well! Quentin | TSG Instructor

My divots are toe first. Would it be work on “the move” first to try and fix that, or have it adjusted a degree up first and if it’s still there than try the move? I wouldn’t want to over adjust a swing to make the equipment work, seems like it would be better to try and adjust equipment first. Am I off base with that line of thinking?

This lesson is one of your best.!!! Your explanation on divots gives me knowledge I can use. Now I understand what I’m doing right, and what I’m doing wrong..!👍

Unfortunately, most driving ranges have gone to mats instead of hitting off grass and about the only feedback is (maybe) the plastic grass burn marks on the bottom of the club!
@TopSpeedGolf3 жыл бұрын
Yes! I'd get either impact stickers or foot spray powder to determine where I'm striking the ball while working off of mats. I'd also work on hitting controlled draws and fades. Also, there are products out there that you can attach to the top of the mat to see where you're making contact. Here is one: www.acustrikegolf.com/ Play well! Nate | TSG Instructor

@@TopSpeedGolf Yup, I've already taken Clay's advice about the foot powder on the club face and it works great! Actually, I don't see any reason why I couldn't spray the mats so I can if I'm hitting a ball thin, fat, out to in, in to out,.... Etc..

Question if you are still taking them on this video. My divot is pointing to the left at about 11:00/11:30. But the flight of the ball is a draw....what is going on there?
@TopSpeedGolf4 жыл бұрын
You're likely hitting the ball off the toe. Try to hit it off the heel to get the strike more in the center.

Haha, thanks! I have one too. They are a must have in the summers here in Florida. You can get them on Amazon. Just search for "Nike sun hat" and that should find it. Play well! Quentin | TSG Instructor

if you need to check the divot to know if you hit thin , on toe or on heel, there is problem.
@TopSpeedGolf6 жыл бұрын
Hi Elie, your divots can tell a story about your swing. Sometimes you'll get off and what you feel isnt' quite the reality. I think the best thing it tells you is the direction your club was moving through impact because I think that is one of the most difficult ones to know right at impact. Hope you're playing great! Clay, Your system has helped me a lot, specially after learning to shallow the club. However I have a question. With irons I was hitting off the toe and with the driver off the heel. I fixed the iron problem by aiming the ball closer to the heel, but will like to know what to do to fix the driver problem.
@TopSpeedGolf6 жыл бұрын
Hi Vic, glad to hear that TSG has helped you. You would do the same thing with the driver that you did with the iron. Intentionally try to strike the ball off the toe to move the strike closer to the center. Play well! Quentin | TSG Instructor

So "Hit down on the ball" is pretty bad advice, Right?
@TopSpeedGolf6 жыл бұрын
Hi Ed, you so want to hit down on the ball a little bit but not chop down into the ball. Just to give you some reference, your average Tour player hits down on a 7 iron 4.3 degrees. One minute on a clock is 6 degrees. So, they are hitting down on the ball so they can get ball first contact but it's a small amount. Play well! Quentin | TSG Instructor

Tiger recently said if he hits it pure he doesn't take a divot. Just saying 😅

I have a beef with you calling tiger better than the bear 18 to 14 in what counts never mind the untouchable runner ups. Please tiger is #2 not #1
@TopSpeedGolf6 жыл бұрын
Hi Bill, thanks for the comment. I'm always going back and forth on this myself. I see some information I didn't know about Jack and then I sway in his direction. I see something about Tiger and then I sway his way. Plus, Tiger is doing what he is doing now which is incredible. I grew up watching Tiger so I think I'm always going to end up in his camp but they are 1A and 1B for me. Hope you're playing great! Quentin | TSG Instructor
