The N8E is an unknown GOAT of an ebike. It goes unnoticed because it’s from Polygon but it will go toe to toe with any of the top enduro e-bikes on the market. I’ve owned a specialized Levo and demoed an Orbea wild, a giant reign and a pivot shuttle. None of those bike can compare in stability and nimbleness except maybe the orbea which is twice the price. So for $3999 (at bikes online now) you get a beast of a bike with Fox performance suspension and xt drivetrain and brakes. Ive swapped out wheels, bars and a few bits with carbon versions and the weight is now @50lbs. Not bad for a full power 160mm enduro e-bike. it's a top contender at any price, but at $3999 its a steal!

Agreed! And well said! That’s the main reason I ride for Polygon, they make some of the best value bikes out there!

I can get a turbo levo comp carbon for $4495 or an N8E or even N8XE for around the same price. 250# casual Michigan rider. Thoughts???

Nice video! These trails look like what I dream about riding ..I'm so happy with my N8E, this machine is unstoppable. Climbs, DH, jumps, steeps, I have so much confidence in this bike I feel like i'm riding better than I did 15 years ago. I even tow both my kids on their new polygons with very little effort. It does it all!

What about your score? You have done longer term with both. You have put more into the T7e upgrades wise. I am loving that new N8Xe, I have seen some pics and specs on that may be my next purchase. I am T7e owner... love your videos!

I have a really hard time most days deciding which bike to ride! At a $1000 retail difference I can see people opting for the lower priced Siskiu and being stoked with it! But on sale for $3999, the Collosus is just too good to pass up! Thx for the kind words! Love having you in the audience!🤜🏼🤛🏼

If you mostly do long rides, use a trip across country bike or semi aggressive trails mostly use the trail bike or you love downhill downhill aggressive trails, using Enduro or downhill but you’re on an E bike it doesn’t matter. You can take that E by cross country 100 miles you can climb up anything it doesn’t make a difference. You can take it on all sorts of go with the Enduro. Actually, I’d put dual dual crowns on the darn thing. It doesn’t make a difference, except on switchbacks.

Wow !! Very nice video !! Very ionteresting to discover the differences in "live" on the exact same trails and with the same rider. I like specially the directing you gave to the vid' and the final result is really nice to watch. I'm so envious of your trails network, here in Belgium we have nothing that comes even far to that !! How nice 🤩 Thank you for sharing and again what a nice job you did !! 🙌 Keep it up !! 👍

Great video man the type of trails you ride most often definitely determines a type of bike you should choose. I wish you had 29 inch wheels on both of them or mullet set up on both of them to make the comparisons a little bit more realistic. But you gotta work with what you got.
@TopToBottomMTB10 ай бұрын
Yeah they are already so similar in feel… I thought the mullet setup would another layer of difference.
@GMANS_BIKES_CARS10 ай бұрын
Here in the UK most trail bikes run 29er’s and the Enduro bikes are a mix with maybe the majority using a mullet setup, just an observation 😎

do you know how to bypass the motor cutoff when it goes past 20mphh?

Great video idea man! I'm thinking I would go for the bigger bike. I mean you've got a motor to assist with pedaling so might as well.

I'm a T7E user, is it suitable to use the Fox 36 fork to attach to the T7E, the same as the Fox RS, if it's good, I'll follow like you.
@TopToBottomMTB10 ай бұрын
Yep! I run a fox 36 on it now.
@CHIEFSFAN196910 ай бұрын
Why didn’t you run both with 29 for this test? Otherwise awesome video and perfect timing as I’m trying to decide between these 2 bikes. Thank you!
@TopToBottomMTB10 ай бұрын
The bikes feel super close when setup with 29” wheels on both bikes. Wanted to add another layer of difference with the mullet Siskiu. For the $500 difference right now… it’s hard to beat the collosus.
@CHIEFSFAN196910 ай бұрын
@@TopToBottomMTB Good info, Thanks! I’ve checked several sources and it looks like the T7E and Collosus are only about 2lbs different in stock form. Does that sound right to you? If it’s only a 2lb difference the 2024 Collosus N8XE spec will be hard to pass on unless they improve the T7E similarly for 2024. If you were going to race 4 E-XC races and 1 E-Enduro race per year which bike would you go with? Thanks again!

Brother, please let us know how to change the rear shimano rotor for a TRP since the shimano one has a magnet that is required for the electric motor to work, thanks!
@TopToBottomMTB9 ай бұрын
I took the magnet out and Zap-strapped it onto the TRP rotor. A little ugly but it seems to work.

With the fork upgrade on the T7E did it change the fork offset from stock 51mm to 44 or 46 and if so how did it change the bikes handling? Thanks
@TopToBottomMTB10 ай бұрын
Kept everything the same… The suntour suspension is just a little slower rebound than what I’m used to… especially here when it gets cold in the winter. The Fox runs so much faster. The bike is sick no matter how you set it up… just my preference.
@jasonbehlke70779 ай бұрын
Just ordered a fox 36 for my T7e, did you have to change the lower head set bearing or race? Thanks, if so what did you use so I can order it. Thank you for your time.
@TopToBottomMTB9 ай бұрын
No need to order anything… just transfer the bottom crown race off of the Suntour and all the bearings just fit. 🤜🏼🤛🏼

@@TopToBottomMTB great videos man! I really enjoy your content and reviews. I’m debating between the N8E and the new TE-N, enduro vs trail. I’m not gonna be doing big jumps a lot but considering their price difference which is just about $200 I’m torn between the 2 models. Any insight/ advice is much appreciated and more power to your channel.
