I like to use heavier like you said but also shorter leaders and always mono fluro sinks too much for top water and even if you have a long mono leader it can weigh down the front of the lure making the action less than ideal

I use loop knot at the lure. An FG for braid to leader. 💪

Nice video!!!! I do have one question though. I’m fishing in a bayou so there’s definitely a lot of puppy drum (14”-20”) and big a lot of bull reds. Can the moon walker catch fish that small? I know they are 5 inches, but this is the only thing keeping me from purchasing them one. Thanks!!!

I've caught speckled trout as small as 12 and 13 inches on a top water plug (yo zuri top knock) although the top knock I was using is 4 inches long I'm sure those fish won't mind a 5 inch bait

I remember when salt strong used to give actual advice. .. and not just plugged their stupid tackle. It a shallow jerk bait with inclines... nothing special. And shame shady is just another soft plastic.
