After being a Christian (Independent, fundamental Baptist) believer for 50 years, over 2 decades in full-time ministry, preached and taught thousands of people, started local Baptist churches from scratch, at the very moment HaShem spoke to me through the Shema, the words YHWH ECHAD, in its purest form (no add-ons) hit me like a ton of bricks, I dropped out of the so-called "Trinitarian Christianity" instantly, at the drop of a hat and I started revisiting EVERYTHING I had ever been taught in a total of 70 years! And this is the reason I am pursuing entering into Covenant by conversion.

Shalom, this is my first video of conversion. It was a long video and had a tremendous amount of information. It led me to take many notes and I had to listen to this video in 3 parts. I enjoyed the video and the knowledge you shared. I did not rush into this video lesson before I did my research about Paul and the explanations you gave in your Galatians videos. Although your statements about Paul were not easy to swallow, since I have been a Catholic first, a Christian next and a Messianic believer third for many years. Yet it did not take me long to see and understand what I had never seen about Paul’s writing before hearing your comments. It did shake the grounds in my household, due to the fact that my husband was an active Christian Pastor and Certified Counselor for 25 years. He continues to counsel and he quotes from Paul’s writings. My husband and I were introduced to the Messianic arena early on, as Paul Wilbur, the messianic singer, was a close friend to our Senior Pastor and the church we were part of back in NY. Our church was one of the first churches Paul began ministering in, when he was starting to become rather popular. I can go on, but I will stop here. I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts about the book of Revelation, as I was told you do not see eye to eye with the writings of this book. Todah. שה' יברך אותך.

Is conversion possible for those who are overseas? The Rebbetzin mentioned in one of the Mussar videos that community is essential, do we need to join a "messianic" group locally for that purpose, even if it's not orthodox like Lapid?

Q. “Back in the day” I thought that if a man was attracted to a woman who was not Jewish, if she agreed to marry him she would have to convert, if she did not convert he would send her away. now in modern times, if the man who is attracted to her is Jewish and she agrees to marry him, but can not convert on the reason of marriage does he have to send her away? Or is there a way for her to convert to Judaism and still marry her boyfriend?
@LapidJudaism2 жыл бұрын
They only had to put away the women when they were married to them (and they, in that status, would not convert). However, the motivation for conversion can not be for any other reason than for the sake of heaven.

I have always told people i was jewish. Followed the 7 laws of Noah my whole life but never became a part of a synagogue. My mother told us we were jewish descendants that had turned Christian sometime in early 1900s. We were raised southern baptist and i was baptised and saved, but it has never resonated within my soul. I left the church at 15 and as an ignorant teenager i decided i was Jewish. my beliefs aligned and i felt within my being that was how i was supposed to be. I was not aware until 2020 that there was a very lengthy and arduous conversion process. I have been taking in information as i can and trying to learn on my own Now i feel ridiculous like i should have started a long time ago and I've just made a fool of myself. But i was recently called a Noahide, which was a new vocabulary word for me.

The Holy Spirit gave me a revelation about Paul a couple years ago and since then i do not study most of Paul's writings because they are NOT inspired by God. What you said about Paul's writings are absolute truth, they are not Scripture! Some of his letters are good, such as Ephesians, but most are written to confuse the mind. I personally believe that Paul started out a true disciple of Yehoshua but then fell away, just like Judas (Judah) started out preaching and healing but then became a traitor. Most folks do not realize that Yehoshua sent Judas out to preach the truth and do healings, but He did and Judas did preach truth until he fell away and betrayed Yehoshua. I believe the Holy Spirit revealed to me a couple years ago that Paul did the very same thing, he fell away and became a traitor. The Holy Spirit gave me a revelation of Paul falling to the earth like satan. And i agree with you...the Scriptures are the Tanakh and the four Gospels, amein!

Jim Staley, in his teaching "Identity crisis", said that the term "the Circumcision" refers to a religious sect or the Circumcision Party, in the first century that taught salvation by conversion to Judaism, with several steps, one of which was physical Circumcision. Paul emphasized that rather, it is grace through faith in Yeshua that brings salvation, just like Abraham believed God, and it was accounted unto him for righteousness, before he was circumcised.
@LapidJudaism2 жыл бұрын
Know Jim personally. Listened to his teaching on “identity crises” about 12 years ago. I don’t recommend it. Jim meant well but he takes a great many things out of context and, more importantly, he does have sources for his opinions. This concept of a specific group called “the circumcision” is a case in point. It simply isn’t true. And there isn’t a shred of historical evidence for it. It’s just a false idea.
@zouksesanet Жыл бұрын
@@LapidJudaismTrue. Thank HaShem for the Hebrew Roots Movement, but it can only go so far. The question posed in Jim's title "identity crisis" was not answered, except that we are Ephraim that was scattered in the nations. I also think that the HRM movement is a reactionary movement by those who felt treated like second class citizens by the Messianic Jewish Movement.

There is no other Jewish community, that believes in Yeshua, that offers legitimate conversion. None.
@VincentAutenrieb9 ай бұрын
What does it mean for a conversion to be "legitimate"? i.e., what are the criterion? Thank you.
@LapidJudaism9 ай бұрын
According to Halacha the basic criteria are: 1.) Faith / Acceptance of the entire Torah and the authority of the Oral Torah. 2.) Circumcision or Hatafat Dam Brit (males) 3.) Immersion in a Kosher Mikvah witnessed by a Beit HaDin.
@LapidJudaism7 ай бұрын
@TrembleAtHisWord and what does that have to do with anything? Their isn’t a “chief Rabbi” who authorises the validity of conversions. That is 100% true for any and every sect of Judaism. The State of Israel is a political body not a religious one.

I am here searching for the truth. 3 in 1 doesn't make sense and it doesn't make sense that if Jews had sins forgiven by an offering of animal or flour or jewelry then why did a human have to die for sins. Or as Christians say God in human form. Its literally given me a phychosis from being afraid of going to hell for not believing Hod made us then made us kill him just so he forgives us.

Don't convert to Christianity or Judaism,just follow Yahoshua and you will be,you don't need a church or synagogue to have faith and bind by His commandments.
@LapidJudaism2 жыл бұрын
Lol. Conversion is 100% biblical “yahoshua” isn’t. No such person has ever existed. This is from the gentile born and raised sacred name cult which is an offshoot of the SDA church. This cult theology sprang up from the satan in the 1930s. You would do well to learn Torah truth from Jews and be set free from falsehood. Follow Yeshua. Convert like all of the righteous gentiles of the Bible.
@MSHOOD1232 жыл бұрын
@@LapidJudaism I had a massive headache one day, the moment I prayed to God in the name of "Yahoshua" I became well. I'm not a satanist or sda, I know what is from God and what is not. As for conversion,literally the whole dispute between Paul and the James and Peter alike was Jews Judaising people. God never stipulated a conversion when He said He will make Jews jealous (Deuteronomy 32:21) and nor did Yeshua. I'm a gentile who came to faith only two years ago but I'm glad I stayed away from the buildings and the doctrines of men. I study my weekly parashas,keep His commandments and I'm blessed for it. You follow Rabbinical (human)teachings and because some rabbis told people that the Messiah will bring (financial)prosperity and worldly peace most Jews reject Yeshua, rabbis, like priests are people's stumbling blocks to New Jerusalem and unfortunately so are the Catholics, Orthodox, and Protestant teachings too.
@LapidJudaism2 жыл бұрын
“The moment I prayed to God in the (false) name of “yahoshua” I became well.” Friend, this is not the way that one seeks truth. In fact, this is the very way in which one is led astray. Be well and follow my advice for your own sake.
@MSHOOD1232 жыл бұрын
@@LapidJudaism I have also heard from the Hebrew speaking people/Messianics, Yahoshua, like Joshua the son of Nun is Our Lord's Hebrew name and Yeshua is His short version. Like I stay away from the NT Evangelists, I'll stay away from the Judaizers too. God is for everyone. Anyway, blessings and Sabat Shalom.
@LapidJudaism2 жыл бұрын
Joshua’s name in Hebrew is Yehoshua NOT - repeat NOT - “yahoshua”. That “yah” nonsense is from the cult sacred name group. I respect that you are not that or whatever but that is the source. It is also true that Yeshua is the short version of Yehoshua. In fact, the book of Joshua is simply called the book of Yeshua among Hebrew speakers. There are no LEGITIMATE Hebrew speaker or scholars who would EVER suggest that Joshua’s name was “Yahshua or Yahoshua” and the same goes for the Messiah. None. Zero. Nada. It is a fact, like water is wet kind of fact. So, start by relieving yourself of that gentile cult falsehood and embrace Yeshua the true Messiah.
