Just something I find hard to describe about Tori that appeals to me in an ethereal way. Her music, voice, lyrics, looks, mannerism's all combine to resonates with me in a mystical way. When listening to Tori, I transcend, beyond all the pain in this world, to a beautiful place in my mind. Thank you....thank you...thank you TORI ...!!!

I was there with Faithless then Tori and then Junky XL in the tent; epic afternoon! Tori was a mesmerizing change, after Faithless and still gives me the chills listening to this recording.

I agree. I wonder if he is the same guy that recorded on Choirgirl Hotel. The drums and mixing on that album are fantastic and subsequent albums were a bit less stellar.

Saw her years ago in Lowell MA, and bought expensive tickets. My wife is not a fan but she came with me cuz she is sweet. The seats were behind a post! My wife went up and complained, and the venue guy said Tori saved seats up front for anyone who complained about their seats! Who does that? TORI! Thank you Tori, a night I will never forget!

@Steerpikey4 ай бұрын
Could you determine what went wrong there? She nodded like two three times as if to indicate a missed beat.
@DirtyFretboard4 ай бұрын
@@Steerpikey I don't think it has anything to do with beats, rather I think she and Jon are both playing a melody there, but it clashes because a wrong note is played. This creates the awkward noise. Rythmically, everyone is okay though, and they recover and keep playing.

So great & joyful!! Lately it seems like she has lost the joy of performing
@ianstandley58277 жыл бұрын
She really looked and sounded like she was having as much fun playing in Manchester England the other day the only other time I have seen her enjoying performing more was back in 1992-3 at the Free Trade Hall unreal acoustics the first time I watched her live so that will always be my favorite . She uses the keyboards more these days, but she finished the concert playing Cornflake girl and she blew the roof off the place. I can't remember if it was 92 or 93 and Tori is still amazing and attracting new fans namely my 40 year old brother who is now planning on coming next year or when she comes back to Manchester.
@anemeth92814 жыл бұрын
That's not true! But hey, she is almost 60 now
@PeteOliva2 жыл бұрын
I don't believe she has lost the joy but the emotion is not so raw and fresh as it once was when she was experiencing all these things in her life. It is 100 percent true that pain yields the most powerful art, because it is the art that releases it, that releases the demons and frees us. At this time period, she was still drawing directly from it. Today, she is just recounting those things. Plus, age has an inevitable dampening effect. Even if the fire is still there, sometimes our aged physical selves prevent us from channeling it in quite the same way.
@darknight23542 жыл бұрын
@@PeteOliva also since she's older now, her voice isn't how it used to be back in the 90s. Which isn't her fault. She just aged and with age your voice changes along with it. Looking at her recent tour she had for Ocean to Ocean, she looked like she was enjoying herself a lot
