I originally thought the Broadcast OPs and EDs might have been the shortened versions that aired on Toonami/Adult Swim, but it is actually something different. During the episodes on this set, Aniplex keeps the original Japanese credits in the OP's and ED's vs. Funimation who translates them into English. But for episodes that use different clips for a special ending, Aniplex uses the creditless versions. So the bonus feature is just the special OPs/EDs with the original credits on top. Also interesting, while Funimation only ever released the textless version of the ending in episode 64, this set now as all of the textless versions (ED of ep 45, ED of ep 54, OP of ep 61, ED of ep 63, and ED of ep 64).

Been wanting to buy Fullmetal Alchemist for awhile, which set is better for purchase in your honest opinion Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood or FMA?
@ToriStory9426 жыл бұрын
kidsndoor Both series have nice physical releases, just a little pricy. I personally think both series are worth your time. FMA (2003) has a much better beginning, it has better pacing and more time to get to know the characters, but it has a different ending and second half of the series than the original manga, which has mixed reviews. FMAB was made with the idea people had already seen the first series and were somewhat familiar with the cast, so the first 12ish episodes are kind of rushed, even though it's technically its own series that follows the manga a bit closer. Still, I prefer Brotherhood overall for the plot and character arcs. But that all comes down to personal preference, as FMA is more of a drama/adventure, and FMAB is a fantasy/adventure. Both are works of art (the best way to watch is fma 2003 and THEN fmab), but if you really only want to watch one series, I definitely think Brotherhood is the best. Sorry this is so long, hope this helps!

I saw that recently there is now a similar set of these two encase in a gate of truth box set with these box sets as digipaks but I think its only sold in Italy avaiable as Italian and Japanese. Also are the medals bc of preorder? I have the first box but mine did not come with one

why is this so damn expensive
@MTWENTY6 жыл бұрын
because it looks fancy lol
@Jakkunn85 жыл бұрын
@@MTWENTY I think that Aniplex doesn't produce a lot of copies of their products, which prompts them to charge twice as much as it does to make their products. Edit: Another reason is to stop too many their products importing to Japan if their series are cheaper than their parent company's products.
@TheSasukefang5 жыл бұрын
it's on the pricy side for the US, but still on the cheaper end compared to the actual Japanese releases. Aniplex and other companies in Japan cost like 60-100 usd per disc. and their single disk releases only contain 2 to 4 episodes. that still doesn't make this seem cheap, it's just an expensive thing to own/collect
