PathPilot Quick Tips | Optimize the G Code Window

PathPilot has been one of the most capable CNC control solutions from day one. Yet touch screen users have had some disadvantages when using Tormach's PathPilot. In the past, some items were impossible to adjust without the use of a mouse to drag items, or to select with a right click. Well, the most recent versions of PathPilot have fixed this annoyance.
There is now a View Options tab next to the G-Code tab. Now, whether you have a touchscreen or not, you can select a specific tool path to appear on the display. You can also just display the current tool in the spindle. The Zoom feature is now optimized for the display, so you can just drag the handle to magnify the display. You can also select the view angle and the grid size. There have also been some improvements in the G-Code window to allow the display of g-code colors through a drop down menu. This will highlight g-code command syntax to ease problem solving. The g-code window can expand by selecting a chevron. Once again, Tormach adds useful features to ease the navigation and use of PathPilot.

these are excellent additions. Path Pilot is a very good operating system for a CNC. Turn it into part of a retrofit kit for other CNC mills as well.

Changing views from top to front to iso is always handy but many times I would like to "zoom" in on an area of the graphic on the right side of the screen. I can zoom easily enough with the scroll wheel on the mouse, but often times the area I want to specifically see is not centered in the screen. I have not found a way to move that image around with the mouse to get the area I want in the center so I can zoom in on it. Is that possible? Thanks...
