Well, he sounded bad for most of 2010, but there's a footage of the band playing Rattlehead and he sounded great. This might be one of those night when his voice still cooperating with him :D , hopefully he'll be able to retain it and release a new official live video.

Vic Rattlehead His voice is 50/50. I've seen videos where his voice is pretty shot, and others where it sounds awesome. Personally, I've seen them three times (2009, 2013 and 2016) and in all three he sounded awesome.

I saw them 3 times also in last 10 years, in 2007 & 2012 he sounded great. Still hit all the high notes. Last time I saw them was 3 months ago and he definetely sounds tired and struggled with the high notes but none of the crowd give a fck though, they just headbang and sing along.

I think it was also a strategy to attract the most public since Megadeth is not a metal band that few like, unlike the Scorpions that are loved by all rock lovers in general.

SCORPIONS have sold 110 million records, make a lot more touring than megadeth, their logistics are much larger, their stage structure is much bigger ... megadeth is a small, medium band.
