Yes we were grateful that the really bad stuff skirted around us to the north by a bit. This was the worst we've seen here in over 30 years.

@@CITAP1 I agree, there's nothing as violently destructive as a tornado.I once looked out over a valley that a tornado had passed through 5 days prior and there was a path 2 miles wide where a heavily forested area was literally forced flat to the ground. Thousands of stripped trees laying flat like a box of match sticks had spilled out on the ground all laid in one direction. I also saw a newscast of a tornado in Mississippi on Easter Sunday where it destroyed a neighborhood. People decorate trees with Easter eggs and there was one house in the middle of the destruction where the house was totally intact and the Easter eggs were still hanging on the trees in the yard ..... such a bizarre phenomenon !
