Nice drive, great to see the 401 upgrades have finally been completed. The world's most impressive expressway just got even wider 😁

Great job! Happy to see the 401 upgrades in Cambridge and Milton.

Also to note that the 401 expansion from Mississauga to Milton lasted from August 2009 to October 2023.

Nice to finally see it completed through Cambridge, and the progress on the Tremaine Road overpass/interchange. It’s been quite a minute since I’ve been out that way myself. The last time was probably in the summer. Nice work on the video!

Toronto Metropolitan area reminds of Chicago area the 401 as the Dan Ryan Expressway and our Toll Roads but out lake is on the east not to the south
@AsphaltPlanet16 ай бұрын
The 401 and the Ryan are definitely comparable in terms of design.

I drive on this route daily both East and West. It's very sickening to say I witness cars cutting through solid HOV lane and many times It's just the driver alone in a vehicle. No respect for law.

those express lanes are nice if they had them on the entire 401 the 407 wouldnt really be needed
@brainwells66346 ай бұрын
To get express lanes in the suburbs of Chicago it will be tolled

The whole stretch of the 401 parallel to the 407 (except through most of Durham Region where traffic is lighter) does have express lanes

It's nice to see hwy 401 throught cambridge being finally widened. I'm actually quite surprised that you actually drove a short distance throught hwy 401's HOV lanes throught Milton too. Also didn't expect an upload on a Monday right after school. Lately in Haïti, living conditions were quite complicated, as there were a lot of violences throught the country, mostly at Port-Au-Prince, the campital. Sure, violence existed throught the country since a long time ago, but rarely that far. There were a lot of gangs planning to overthrow the government. As an example a jail in Port-Au-Prince was stormed by a gang which caused at least a dozen of deaths & several people escaped, which only made things even worse than before. I'll keep an eye close at this topic, as nothing is certain yet. It's possible that the violence will escalate into a coup or civil war. This is why I prefer stay in Canada rather than going o Haïti.

The situation within Haiti is unfortunate indeed. Thanks for the comment.

Great drive! Does your phone carrier charges you a fee for using international service while in the US?
@AsphaltPlanet16 ай бұрын
My phone plan includes minutes and data that can be used interchangeably in the US and Canada

What a fresh drive this late winter! It's almost spring now.

Also, when this video was filmed, you'll see all Canadian flags are flown at half staff because former Canadian PM Brian Mulroney sadly passed away.

The Toronto area is indeeed very cool, and still expanding as well. I wouldnt be surprised if latest census estimates put the city either close to or at 3 million now!
@AsphaltPlanet16 ай бұрын
The population signage on the highway indicates 2,795,000. Much of Toronto's growth is occurring in the burbs outside of the city proper. Thanks for the comment.

@@AsphaltPlanet1 I think that is the 2021 census unless they update every year. Thanks though, for your reply :) It's a beautiful area, in the Greenbelt
