You passed the glorious Fillmores Hotel and strip club also. As far as the sketchiest corner in Toronto, it is a coin flip between Sherbourne/Dundas and Sherbourne/Queen. Both areas should be avoided after the sun goes down.

Filmores is going to be redeveloped as a condo complex, so this area is gentrifying quickly.

I've seen some nice parts of downtown Cleveland but yeah, some parts can be rough.
