Everytime I walk on church street I am reminded on how bad things are going that the once vibrant church wellesley village has dwindled to just half a city block. Our village is so small in comparison to other large cities like chicago or even montreal. The results of progress, gentrification, and I guess overall acceptance of LGBTQ2AA+ members in our community. the village used to be on yonge street in the early days - and then moved to church street shortly after I believe the bathhouse raids. The village used to encompass sherbourne to yonge and from charles to just south of carlton. Now the village is literally from wellesley and church to alexander and church.
