“They are the hardest fighters pound for pound” is probably the most ironically untrue statement u can say about the Russian military lmao, Russian doctrine is specifically optimized against availability of manpower. What they lack in resources they make up for in bodies to throw at the problem, casualties per objectives achieved for the Russian army is probably highest of any modern military for the past 100 years or so.

The fact that he is standing there dissing the russians, and then runs home after only shooting a window is hillarious. That what happens when you live in an eco-chamber telling you "you´re badass", and you start to believe your own hype. This guy found out the hard way that fighting a real war against a real army is a heck of a lot different from playing Call of Duty and shooting at opponents that can´t shoot back. Many like him went to Ukraine with a full load of hubris, and came back with a full dose of reality. Putting your faith in the media´s narrative will get you killed pretty fast and ugly. If you couldn´t even beat a bunch of farmers and peasants in flipflops, what possible chance do you think you have against a professional army like Russia´s? This was an adventure doomed to failure from the start. Propaganda is a b**ch, eh?

Been there, done that in 2001_2003. Why any sane person would want to go and get into another shitfight is either because they thrive on the adrenaline rush of the ultimate hunt, or they are as my instructor told me "psychotic murderers", who need to fullfil a personal void in their damaged minds. Both can be a result of previous active service. They look and behave normally, but either opportunity presents itself or they can snap. A person who is suffering from this problem will deny they have a problem, until they get caught. Snipers are a surgical tool on the battlefield and for any person who becomes a sniper, their war becomes very personal. It is not a computer game of headshot harry's, centre of mass is fine. Nobody should want to see the face of the person they are going to kill, if they are sane!

Canadians from Quebec are my favourite Canadians. I was born in B.C. but my father is Quebecois. I love the spirit, wit and francophone values of the people of Quebec. Most of our greatest war heroes are from Quebec, Wali is living proof of that. I only ever dump on Canadians who dump on my Quebecois brothers and sisters. Two months after answering President Volodymyr Zelensky's call, sniper Wali is back in Quebec - unharmed, though he almost died "several times. But most foreign fighters who went to Ukraine like him came back bitterly disappointed, mired in the fog of war without having even been to the front once. "I'm lucky to be alive, it was really close," said the former Royal 22e Régiment soldier, in an interview with La Presse at his home in the greater Montreal area. His last mission in the Donbass region, as part of a Ukrainian unit supporting conscript soldiers, hastened his return in a way. In the early morning hours, when he had just taken up position near a trench exposed to Russian tank fire, two of the conscripts came out of their cover to smoke a cigarette. "I told them not to expose themselves like that, but they didn't listen to me," says Wali. Then a "very accurate" shell from a Russian tank exploded next to them. The scene described by the sniper is bloodcurdling. "It exploded solid. I saw the shrapnel go by like lasers. My body tensed up. I couldn't hear anything, my head hurt right away. It was really violent. He immediately realized there was nothing he could do for his two Ukrainian brothers-in-arms who had been hit hard. "It smelled like death, it's hard to describe; it's a macabre smell of charred flesh, sulfur and chemicals. It's so inhuman, that smell."

Mean while, you (Sniper Wali) have returned to Canada - which is presided over by a Dictator - Justin Trudeau who has pursued draconian laws of all types to diminish Freedom and strip away what little ability to own the firearms of one's choice that Canadians once did have. Nothing like fighting for a Country (Ukraine that is a Proxy War Puppet of Biden the CIA and US MIC and NATO) then returning to one's home country run by a Petty Tyrant like Trudeau.

One of the smartest things President Zelenskyy has done was to immediately set up a foreign army in Ukraine. He had the world's support with his heroism in staying with his people, and his outreach on social media, but with so many people around the world enlisting to fight for Ukraine, he now has our investment. He's a world class leader, and I dearly hope this war ends with Ukraine triumphant, and Putin gone from power. Slava Ukraini ! 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦

He's fought in 2 wars and really is an elite sniper, so I'm sure he's prob killed some people. The problem is those were low intensity conflicts against insurgents armed with only AKs, RPGs, and IEDs. The Ukraine war is a high intensity war against one of the most well equipped militaries in the world. Once he seen that his chances of being killed were higher than he was comfortable with he decided it wasn't worth it.

It's almost unbelievable the way a soldier handles with a war: Before someone criticise him by the way he told things like, comparing "with a game", it is a mind mechanism, a way to don't let the psychologic factor collapse. That's a huge difference between a common people, and a determined trained soldier. God protect and help him and his crew on their batles, he's a true Man of Honnor
@Jughead242 жыл бұрын
So, it's honorable to kill at a distance. It's honorable to kill for a situation that you don't clearly understand or should be involved in. Would it be honorable if he were sniping for Russia? Why not? I'm a us infantryman with four combat tours. There was no honor. We weren't fighting to protect our homes or loved ones. We were fighting for the machine or because we enjoyed it. Being a warrior is fine. Pretending that there's good killing or anything honorable about modern war is fantasy. Celebrate and honor those who save life, not them who enjoy killing under false pretenses
