@@MikeW-yk5tr That is the Lester Pearson and Pierre Trudeau years. Not conservaties - and especially not this new form of radical conservative Pierre Policyless will cut services because he has promised to cut taxes which wins him votes. But.....how are things to be paid for? So without the tax base because Mr. Magoo will have "axed the tax" there will be no money for services and they will be cut. You won't notice anything at first but slowly and surely shit will start happening - industrial accidents because there are no government inspectors, highways, bridges and railways go to shit. Pollievre will blame the Trudeau government for years just as Heir Harper did with Chretian and Paul Martin. All the economic eggs will be placed in the oil basket which keeps Alberta happy. This whole radical conservative movement is a western movement traced back to Preston Manning. Its all about make western provinces wealthy and screw everybody else.

China and Russia are threats. Working with America to protect North America in the 21st Century is vital. A modern military wuth all eqpt and soldiers is reqd to secure Canada and North Americs. If Canada is going to have a strong military, we need to adopt similar policies that France has adopted. France produces every military asset domestically. They don’t rely on other countries for military support at most. They might collaborate with other NATO members on producing new vehicles and weapons. Canada hasn’t produced its own domestic vehicles since the Cold War. Ever since we’ve just been buying secondhand tanks and aircraft from countries, like America, Germany, and the United Kingdom. I really hope Canada gets its own domestic arms industry especially when you consider that most of Canada’s military operations is either domestic, deployed with NATO or some form of peacekeeping. We desperately need to build our own equipment that works with our military policies.

Original 1908 lyrics: O Canada! Our home and native land! True patriot love thou dost in us command. We see thee rising fair, dear land, The True North, strong and free; And stand on guard, O Canada, We stand on guard for thee. Refrain O Canada! O Canada! O Canada! We stand on guard for thee. O Canada! We stand on guard for thee. O Canada! Where pines and maples grow, Great prairies spread and lordly rivers flow, How dear to us thy broad domain, From East to Western Sea; Thou land of hope for all who toil! Thou True North, strong and free! (Refrain) O Canada! Beneath thy shining skies May stalwart sons and gentle maidens rise, To keep thee steadfast through the years, From East to Western Sea. Our own beloved native land, Our True North, strong and free! (Refrain) Ruler Supreme, Who hearest humble prayer, Hold our dominion within Thy loving care. Help us to find, O God, in Thee, A lasting, rich reward, As waiting for the Better Day We ever stand on guard.

I was on exercise and our leopard tanks turret ring ate itself. No replacement parts in canada so we had to rip the turret ring out of a monument and brought to us in the field just so we can finish the exercise. The biggest issue isnt money, equipment or woke. Its the leadership. My regiments leadership was fucking poison. Which is why i got out. Life altering injury, was told to suck it up and do my job. Once i started looking out for my health, i was treated like shit. Since i wasnt able to perform my duties i was just another number and i didnt matter.

As a RCAF vet I applaud the new direction, my only caution is that a new government doesn’t mess with Veteran Affairs benefits. For those of us who wore the uniform and made a sacrifice whether it be physically or mentally having that recognized and supported by Veteran Affairs through its various programs needs to be supported.
