Def gotta test some stuff like this. I stumbled across the fact that SV can drop CV shields pretty efficiently. And I've been exploiting blind spots since old Bridge Commander.

What do you use to kill Legacy ships? I have been told they have mostly anti-shield hitscan weapons, which should mean dodging in lightly armored fast ships does not work as well.

Once you have a large enough shield it really doesnt matter, theyll be dead long before your shield comes down. I dont hunt in Legacy space though because it's a waste of time, lackluster rewards, I can gather quantums 4-6x faster killing Tovera Dreadnoughts.

one question, when you stomp your sv's nose into the other ship, do you fire the torpedos, at that close distance? what effects does that have?

I fire them just before I collide, what effect does it have? It goes kaboom. Haha... the explosive damage is the same regardless of the speed youre moving or the distance the torpedo is fired.

It sure is. Add 3-4 small aux cores, a couple Heavy laser turrets ( for drones ), max the shield caps/chargers with the CPU from the aux cores, and you are good to go. More shield makes it easier but I can do the Dreadnaught with No aux cores at all, though its dicey and you might get your face blown off as a non quantum. I recommend a shield strength of at least 7000 hitpoints, but I've done the fight with as little as 3800. I'm making a Larger version of the same SV to be faster with more turrets and significant ammo loads. Should be on the workshop within a week.

How long does it take to drop the shield? Also with destroyers wouldn't it be easier/faster to go through the rear bay door? I use that way with your Nightrain. Works beautifully

@@tach9168 With 12 manual lasers you can drop the tovera shield w/ 1 or 2 Reloads, just loiter in the blind spot like I do in the video and unload into him, then pop out and dive down on his head, after you drop torpedoes, roll off to his rear or sides to get out of range faster ( since he is moving forward ). Ive never tried going through the back of an imerat, but now I will :)

@@artemisrougegaming2688 yup once the door is destroyed you can see the core. Protected by 1 layer of heavy glass. They are pretty much the easiest Zirax cruiser to kill with the Night Train besides the basic 1.
