Nice shooting 👍. My problem (besides practice time) is shoulder stabilization, and before anyone says drop your bow shoulder, ... I already do, I just can't stabilize. 🏹🤠👍 Just noticed that's an Supra Focus. Mine's an special "Serpent Focus" due to riser extensions past limbs "&" fins on riser spine.

If you already have your bow shoulder down you are doing better than me! This is something I am working extremely hard on myself. Seems like there is ALWAYS something else to work on! 🤣 Thanks for commenting and thanks for watching! 🤘🏽

Nice step by step video! Very effective at getting point accords. Curious - was the overdraw a result of torque tuning with your rest and needed to position it further away from the bow? Without the overdraw is it fair to say the sight would be in a more forward position? Thanks!
@FourFletchArchery2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Honestly, I run the overdraw from Hamskea because they are relatively inexpensive and give me versatility. If my sight adjustments wouldn’t get me to the horizontal group size I’m looking for then I would begin moving my rest. I do believe you are correct that without the overdraw my sight would likely be more in the middle of my sight bar. Thanks again for the comment! 👊🏽

What is more better in the outdoor set up (50meters) sir, the arrow rest method or yours? Thanks I learned a new one!
@FourFletchArchery2 жыл бұрын
I would personally probably use the sight method first and then see if I could fine tune with the rest for the most optimal correlation between the two. The sight adjustments are 1/2” roughly per so the rest is going to be much more of a micro adjustment! Thanks for the comment and for watching! 👊🏽
@nashmac88402 жыл бұрын
Thanks sir! I will do that its a bit hard on the arrow rest method because I need to retune it every time I move it! Thanks

Alot of guys have their sight set in position, so that their peep in a perfect eclipse of the sight.. or to match up with a certain peep size their wanting. So most guys torque tune using the rest.. i also just use the rest.
@FourFletchArchery2 жыл бұрын
@@lifeatfulldraw7163 100%! It’s the correlation between the rest and sight. Either method works. With todays peep kits and easily changeable apertures I prefer the sight so I don’t have to retune after each rest adjustment. Both methods work great though. Glad you brought that up! Thanks for watching. 👊🏽

Awesome video bud!! Is it better to do it at a further distance or does it matter?
@FourFletchArchery2 жыл бұрын
Yes! Do it at the furthest distance you plan to shoot. Just keep in mind things are magnified at further distance so you might need a bigger target! Thanks for watching! 👊🏽

what about torque tuning with adjusting the rest back or foward? is it the same process? which method is better
@FourFletchArchery2 жыл бұрын
Great question! Torque tuning is all about the correlation between the scope and the rest. Therefore, either method is acceptable. I choose to set my rest and tune the bow then use the sight bar to get the forgiveness I’m looking for. If for some reason I was not happy with the results I could always move the rest for extreme “fine tuning”. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!

I’ve seen some do this with their rest does it matter either or does one benefit more than the other ?
@FourFletchArchery Жыл бұрын
It’s the correlation between the rest and the sight. You can move either/or. Some people have a specific sight picture they prefer so they opt to move the rest! Great question! Thanks for watching!

The secret is make sure your sight picture is good, not offset, with all shots. If you don’t the exercise is wasted. Pin needs to centered like any normal shot

The rest becomes a pivot point so to speak, the site being further away means it will move more from the pivot point, the results being what you showed 👍👍👍👍

@@JamesBond-oc4gm also depends on the correlation, if you are landing opposite of the torque direction (hitting left while torque right etc) you need to expand the distance between the two. Hitting the same direction, compress the direction.

The rest IS the pivot point, not becomes the pivot point. Changing the distance the sight is from the bow in no way changes the way the arrow leaves the bow. Torquing the bow does change the arrow trajectory.

MOVING THE SIGHT CLOSER OR FARTHER FROM THE BOW CHANGES NOTHING ABOUT HOW THE ARROW LEAVES THE BOW. If a bow/arrow combo is tuned properly and you put that bow on a shooting machine, the arrows will, within reason, always leave the bow the same way and hit the same spot on the target. If you don't change the setup of the bow on the machine, or the position of the machine relative to the target, then moving the sight pin up, down, left, right, forward OR backwards will change nothing about the way the arrow leaves the bow or the flight of the arrow, and the arrow will still hit the same spot on the target. Torquing the bow will obviously change things, but moving the sight in or out will not. Changing the distance from the ARROW REST to the string changes the pivot point of the arrow, which will change the trajectory of the arrow when it leaves the bow. TORQUE TUNING REQUIRES MOVING THE ARROW REST IN OR OUT. If I am wrong, please explain how.
@FourFletchArchery10 ай бұрын
I appreciate the passionate response. You answered the question in your own statement, “torquing the bow will obviously change things”…hence the method of “torque tuning”. It’s the relation of the pin to the arrow rest. I understand your thought process but if your pin is 1” from the riser or 6 feet from the riser torquing the bow will produce MUCH different results. I mentioned in the video that you can also do this with your rest, which in a lot of ways, is the better method due to not changing your overall sight picture, magnification, etc… The beauty of this is you don’t even have to trust me. Test it for yourself. Thanks for watching.
