Holy smokes, that three phrase breakdown with the slow-mo replay really opened my third eye. I always thought of it as two phases and so I could never connect the first phase to the third phase because I always skipped the second phase! Thanks Isaac!

Arm can be divided also, no? Internal rotation at shoulder, then at elbow with rotator cuffs, then finally forearm flexors(or do we not use these?)

Great video. Never realised I needed to engage my glutes when jumping... No wonder my spikes lacked power since it was all arm. Time to squat!! 👍🏼

Awesome video! Tumbs up! What would be the differens for a right hand hitter on the right side? Angel, opening up hip to setter, etc.
@torqvb5 жыл бұрын
Nicklas Berger Nothing really changes. The same principles are applied on the left, middle, and right side. The only difference is the ball is coming from the opposite side which usually helps people rotate into it more easily as long as their torso is still slightly open.

Im more comfortable gaining power from the stretch of the back rather than the hip, is it normal or acceptable?
@s2lai5 жыл бұрын
wanted to clarify some timing question. so I understand pulling the elbow backwards serves to open the shoulder and torso. to force maximum separaton between shoulder and torso, it looks like as the hips have turned and already fully closed, hitting arm is still in process of moving backwards. seems like this would force maximum stretch and separation, am I interpreting it correctly? or do u finish pulling arm back early, but just use scapula to keep it in that retracted position as the hips rotate? small but nuanced point I would like to clarify, thanks!

No one ever teaches how to put your legs up dose it just come natural ?because it feels harder when I jump and put my legs up
@Wayzerr Жыл бұрын
It comes natural when you rotate your shoulders way more back than usual.
