Torrential rain falls across southeast Michigan leaves behind flooded roadways

My bro's family stay in Livonia and their neighborhood was hit by the outtage & won't be juiced till Sunday. In Pontiac a sub across Telegraph got knocked out; a small neighborhood behind left of my apt & 1 behind 2 my right a good chunk on the other side of 59. We were spared, whew.

No it was a electric storm I stayed up till 3:00 am watching it, it was awesome so much energy. Hopefully we get more later today

Why does it always flood? Because this region has old infrastructure and has allowed too much development everywhere along all these water basins and this is the consequence. They do absolutely nothing to fix this long term problem. Why people continue to put up with this? I'll never know.

That was NOT just a "thunderstorm". I've never seen it both rain as hard as it was with as much constant lightning with constant roaring thunder for at least 4-5 hours with 3-5 inches of rain falling in as many hours. DTW reported a thunderstorm from 12:50am to 7am that was a highly unusual event.

@@chr0nicstupidity It's happened many times over the last 40 year's I'm 57 and seen worse! We lost power for a week couple year's ago in Plymouth. Dexter township got tornadoes about eight year's ago many homes were destroyed remember that? Hopefully we get another big storm tonight ⚡⚡
