Another great vid. I’m sure many of us have stood on the Torridon peaks and looked at the lands to the North. You’re very lucky to be able to do this on a regular basis. I need to get back up there again in 2021.

Cracking Murray! Steeper than what I'd thought it would be, but looks like you could get a cheeky summit camp on the grassy patch. Got all those Corbetts on my radar, particularly Flowerdale ones.

Hi Robin - its steep one alright!! - the mossy spot would be ideal providing it wasn't too windy - not many other grassy areas for a pitch !!lol A cracking day out though :)

Thanks Murray. And if you don't mind my asking, which action camera are you using? Your footage is much sharper and with less vibration than I can get on my old GoPro Hero 2 which I'm looking to replace. Oh, and if anyone else is reading this....ticks are still about in the countryside. Just taken a dead one off Meg, my border collie after our walk on Arran on Friday

Ian Tupman hi Ian - I have a GoPro 6 - stabilisation and sharpness much better than my older GoPro 3- there will be a new GoPro 8 coming soon though which will probably be best one yet 👍

This really is a brilliant video. It's videos like these which are inspiring me to go to places few people visit. I'm heading for Fuar Tholl and Sgorr Ruadh to do a bothy stay in February - a couple of nice winter mountaineering adventures. Before then though, I may try find somewhere even more desolate. Suggestions would be most welcome.

Just wanted to say thank you for the films. They are so useful for planning and finding new areas to explore. I do a lot of mountain biking and it’s so great to see the landscapes you travel through from that perspective. Unfortunately I live near Penzance so don’t get up as much as I’d like. It was a 14hr drive to Torridon for us when we came up in May! So, thanks again for the fantastic content. 😀😀😀😀
@ScotlandsMountains5 жыл бұрын
ah - that is a long drive!!! I was in Torridon recently (new vlog coming at some point) and it still takes me 3-4 hours from Perthshire, but 14hrs is a tad longer.... Always worth it though when you get to Torridon, such a magical place :) Thanks for watching ATB Murray

Just bumped into this video ~ it’s on my doorstep (so to speak) and generally don’t do that well in some of my attempts at altitude these days 😢. I tend to do low ish level walks. Looking at the rocky trail near the top is out of my safety abilities 😢. Well done though …. I’ve just subscribed and liked… You did mention (especially on way down) that it wasn’t your planned decent and looked treacherous ¿ accidents can happen to anyone so I go by the saying “plan my walk and walk my plan “

Looks very nice. How far is the hike? (I suffer from a dodgy knee which makes longer hikes/steep descents problematic). It's years since I've done some proper Scottish hikes (too many miserable midge experiences put me off, and France is much closer), but I really should get back - as you just showed, it can be glorious.
@ScotlandsMountains5 жыл бұрын
xxwookey this was a long hike TBH - if you check out the walkhighlands web page - that’s probably the best place for stats 👍 hope you get back to the hills soon - I can sympathise with having bad knees and a few operations in the past Thanks for watching ATB Murray
