My little sister is a huge fan of ants, and bugs in general. The amount of knowledge she has about ants blows my mind sometimes, because she knows so much more than I do. She just turned 11 about a week ago, and got an ant farm for her birthday. And apparently she stumbled across Empires of the Undergrowth on youtube, so just yesterday she asked our dad to buy it for her, which he did. I thought the RTS mechanics would be too difficult for her (she tends to struggle with controls in games) which is the only thing that held me off from buying it for her myself, but as it turns out, she's a lot better at learning than I thought. She's loving it! And it makes me glad I watched this series! Gave me a head start in showing her the ropes. She's really happy to have a video game that feels so realistic!

Pretty sure you can play the final level a second time to buy all the ants and skills for “free”. The hatch cost down skill reduces the cost down to 50 for the bullet ants.
