About AVATAR:
On the lush alien world of Pandora live the Na'vi, beings who appear primitive but are highly evolved. Because the planet's environment is poisonous, human/Na'vi hybrids, called Avatars, must link to human minds to allow for free movement on Pandora. You could also view this as Eywa's biggest show of faith in Jake. It's as if she's saying to the Omaticaya, "Do you believe me now?" She's sent signs from the beginning that Jake could be trusted, yet it was this time that they would trust him without question. The only sign that could match this moment is later on during the war when the creatures of Pandora start fighting back alongside the Na'vi. I still get chills every time Neytiri says, "Jake...Eywa has heard you!"

At 3:21.. when Neytiri said "I see you.", That is the moment where she forgiven Jake and also regretted banshing him from Pandora ever since the Home Tree was destroyed & also realized that Jake wasn't a "traitor" to her or the Na'vi, but Jake was actually a traitor to Miles Quaritch for betraying the human race, including the Sky People after that Jake, Norm & Dr. Grace escaped from his base (With help from Trudy Chácon of course.). & after when he found a leonopteryex, and also making Jake "Toruk Makto", Tsu'tey wanted to fly with Jake & accepted him as a leader and his brother and lead the Na'vi people. & afterwards, Jake Sully earned his trust with them again.. This scene is possibly my favorite along with the ending, because it's much better then the other movies who had protagonists say "I'm sorry." to another. Thank you, James Cameron for bringing Avatar to life. Can't wait for Avatar 3 next year. 💙 Edit: Avatar 3 in 2025? Aw man...

I just came here to clear up some confusion in the comments. Toruk and Ikran do choose their riders the same way. This is verbally stated when Neytiri is showing Jake the Toruk totem. She says "Toruk chose him" at one point when talking about the past Toruk Makto. I believe she was referring to her grandfather's grandfather if I remember correctly. This is also just shown in the scene where their being chased. If you look closely you'll notice Toruk actively targets Jake despite looking over and seeing Neytiri. There was also a deleted scene where Jake goes through a sort of ayahuasca and has a vision of himself and Toruk together. Anyway I hope that helps, and do tell me if I got anything wrong.

Toruk Makto is a legendary warlord for the Na’vi; someone who stands up during bad times and unites all Na’vi to resolve conflict, and then lets go of that role after the great sorrow is over.
