1 nacelle should spin clockwise and the other counter-clockwise to prevent pulling the ship to the left or right

Seems a bit fast to me, also the port nacelle goes clockwise (the starboard counter clockwise as you have it) but aesthetically amazing as always. Nice work.

I agree, there are shot to shot variances on the original show but I also think it might look better a tad slower.

Wow. It’s ridiculously tricky modelling this I know, as I’ve followed quite a few model maker’s solutions. It’s not just a case of repeating what they mechanically did, it’s how it looked to us at home due to the speed of the camera, the exposure time, how incandescent bulbs look on film, all the variances shot to shot, etc. Gotta say this looks pretty darned close to me!

Rotation and animation hitches aside, I don't think I've ever seen a better digital reproduction of the TOS cap effect. Wish I could see more of this

Excellent work, you just need to reverse the rotation of the starboard engine and it will be perfect.

Crazy impressed with this dude! Do you think you could go into a bit more detail about how you achieved this look? Color values of the lights and the bussard caps, timing of the lights and how many lights per bussard cap, etc. Been studying the restored Smithsonian model as well as cleaned up TOS footage to get a more exact idea of how these little buggers work, and this is the closest I've seen anyone get in replicating it. Any help you could provide would be massively appreciated!

Fantastic work! The pattern seems a little too fast to me, though. Should the port engine's rotation be in a clockwise direction? I am jealous of your modeling skills!

after seeing what happened to the Stage 9 guys this week I'd guess that's put a big fat NOPE to your stuff ever seeing the light of day (and rightly so, would hate to see your work get hosed by CBS) - just wanted to say again that your work is fantastic (as was the Stage 9 thing) and that studios suck ass sometimes. Keep up the good work, even if it only remains a personal thing!
