Those of you that ship Kirk and Spock, and Kirk, Spock, and McCoy do a great disservice to them. The three aren't sexually involved with each other, they aren't attracted to each other, and they're not just friends. They are brothers in the truest sense of the word. Men make friends easily. You know that. But to be brothers is to see the other as your own family. It means to take on the responsibility for their safety above your own if needed. Someone you would give up your life for to save theirs. We see them do so in the show. Brothers from another mother is a deeper tie than any other you can give. Why do you want to take away that bond that is stronger than romantic love?
