Just what I needed to see, a proper elder mixing wax on this mixer, good stuff. Cheers i am your age and got the DJM-500 when it came out and had many mixers prior to that back into the early 80s. Keep on rocking until the wheels come off. 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻

Glad you liked it! Yea. The 500 was a beauty when it came out. Very popular. I started off with a Cintronics back in the early 80's with my then MK2's. How do you find the sound quality from the a9 with vinyl?

Sounds great buddy! Great bass and great highs. The high hats sound great and aren't recessed. I like that the midrange isn't in your face. Sounds professional and doesn't have that fake sound that you get with some mixers and controllers. It's more of a warm sound. I find it has similar sound if not slightly better to the Allen and Heath Xone 96 which I tested at the shop. Pioneer listened and put better preamps for turntables with the A9. I'll be doing a 90's house vinyl mix soon.

I was so impressed with the sound quality of my friends Xone 96 who has the same speakers as me, but it lacks the effects, but if the a9 sounds as good or better like you say, then this really is the perfect upgrade for me, that’s the sound I’m looking for, warmer with punchy bass and not that digital mid and high that’s sounds flat

@@ChrisBlade. my recording of this mix comes from the booth monitor out to my video camera. Clean straight out with no additional sound boosters. This should give you an idea of the sound of the A9. When I listen to the mix on KZbin it sounds similar to when I hear it live. Maybe it sounds just a little cleaner when live. But the frequencies are close. This is through 2 Adam Audio T8V's. Also remember that trance tunes don't have that much bass so it's quite impressive that the A9 delivers. If you go to my last video with the CDJ'S mix, you can compare the sound from the CDJ'S and the turntable as the last tune I mix is on a record. It sounds identical to the CDJ'S. There was always a difference with previous mixers except the DDJ SZ which had good preamps for turntables as that controller was made when the last of the 1200's were still around. Now remember everyone has different ears, so just in case you don't like the sound of the A9 make sure you can return it to the shop. The majority of people that have bought the A9 correspond with my findings. Good luck with it and please let me know your findings on here!

@@Toskas that’s very useful information, thank you so much for your advise, just one last question if you don’t mind me asking, how do you record your videos here on KZbin without any copyright issues? I tried it once and streamed live via restream to my KZbin channel and twitch, but KZbin notified me for copyright and didn’t allow the video to be posted, I play trance like yourself, similar tunes, but they won’t allow me, so frustrating, thank you
