Seen a few videos of this guy, honestly the whip is a dumb pointless gimmick, but it really sells the act. His true talent is the improv and the singing. The whip, anyone can use a whip like that, its not skillful at all, just whip at a regular pace, not complicated. But the whole ensemble of the act is very nice.

If they really had people like this gentleman a.k.a. whippers during the renaissance beyond just a court jester or joker I can see why the renaissance was so much fun. Beyond the nights who fought in championship circles on horses and swords. I mean the renaissance in the middle ages overlap by 120 years so besides the Black Plague and bubonic plague it was a much simpler time outside of plagues and war.
