Thanks I still believe you need to adjust your algorithm to facilitate engineering troops defending the city to “return fire” or engage attacking armies to your city and be able to support the defence of the walls.

You tell highest initiative strikes first as if there was a way or setup of troops to influence one's init. But there isn't, each fight starts randomly and certain epics like in ragnarök event the chances are way below 50%, more like 5-10%.

@@thelandis7 that's the rigged side of the game: you cannot. Only catapults have init+5, but only during siege. All troops and monsters of any kind have the save init value so every fight is pure gamble...

the biggest challenge (when its important) seems to be choosing the quantity correctly for the troops that you want to strike first or be hit first based
