@@yimmyb1459 I like to think it was a business strategy to have more of a surprise in RR when Owen was revealed. Everyone was expecting Owen in AS only to not happen. So when he’s revealed for RR, people are excited. He also helps facilitate the new concept of RR which a lot of people were hesitant over. In-universe, maybe Alejandro lobbied to ban Owen from AS or else he wouldn’t compete 😅 And since Alejandro causes more drama, Chris did it for him lol

This was really good, loved your explanations! We often only think about meta reasons why characters aren’t included so this was extremely creative to come up with in-universe explanations. Very nice vid! I thought you might mention Owen and Noah couldn’t compete because they signed up for RR. Maybe they had the option to pick and they chose the RR formula while everyone else chose the “tried and true” game since they weren’t familiar with a new concept. It would also explain Geoff. By the way… when you said “Sierra was included because the writers really liked her actresses’s performance” I immediately thought of Priya. It’s no secret her VA is really sweet and kind. Terry praises her a lot so I imagine that’s why she got enough full season in reboot.

Thanks! I only didn’t mention RR because it explicitly takes place after Pahkitew, since Leonard says in his first confessional “Pahkitew Island was tough.” And Dwayne watched it with his son. As for Priya’s actress, I wouldn’t be surprised if she once again makes final 3 in the third season, but I can’t exactly tell how the acting process worked for the reboot. Seems to me that they wrote both seasons THEN did the voice acting, then did the animation, then did Terry’s Chris dub. Regardless, I do believe she’ll have some sort of Beth effect in the next season because like her or not, Priya is here to stay.

But yeah, I figured maybe there were talks about RR and since Gen 1 are veterans, they were given the choice to compete in that or AS first. Owen, Noah, Geoff being the only ones who accepted it. I forgot about Leonard though since he was a first boot. The seasons were indeed written after the other but I’m guessing the writers (or at least Terry) socialized a lot with the VA’s? We know they can’t write everything in a day so I have the feeling with Terry being his social self chatted a lot with the VA’s and really liked Priya. So because of that, he might have nudged the writing to accommodate keeping her as long as possible? You’re right in that the scripts are written first because VA but I would take a yander that they must socialize with the VA’s in some capacity during the writing process or else Terry goes out of his way to hang with some of them.

@@AutumnPlains I'd say PI takes place maybe four months later, with the robotic island being thrown onto the water super quickly to wrap up the second half of the season, which is why it malfunctions so often. RR is right after about two months later, maybe three, being in preparation for well over a year to set up challenges and stuff. After all, by the time RR is airing, Dwayne and Junior have binge watched PI on a streaming service, so I can only guess that the season went up live and was put on Hulu or whatever as it came out. That's actually a very good point with the whole Priya and Terry thing, make sense he'd really enjoy her performance and stuff, plus we have no idea how long the VA's had been casted for so that's totally what could have happened.

With All-Stars going on 10 years at this point, I do wish we had a bigger cast of people like Owen, Noah, Tyler, Brick, and Anne Maria. Even with that it did have its moments. Something’s entertaining about seeing a group together you wouldn’t normally think as affiliated with each other. The teams in the 5th episode show this

My personal theory for Owen not appearing is that he and Noah were already competing on reality shows so he was competing elsewhere and couldn't join All-Stars, but was freed up by the end, hence the cameo.

I’m pretty sure the season was initially supposed to be 22 contestants since 20 characters received individual scenes in the first All-Stars trailer and even though Mike and Gwen didn’t receive individual scenes, they had too big of a role to not be in the season originally. Everyone who received an individual scene was: Courtney, Duncan, Leshawna, Harold, Sierra, Cody, Alejandro, Heather, Owen, Noah, Justin, Lindsay, Brick, Anne Maria, Zoey, Lightning, Cameron, Sam, Jo, Scott

The reson they were only 2 boys in gen 1 cast is because for gen 2 it was all of the merge + sam so over all that only left 2 spots for the original for it to be equal and the reason owan wasn't in all stars is they wanted the people in wt who haven't had there 1st season and they wanted to continue the love triangle so that was the 2 spots filled😢

I feel like the thing with Sam could’ve actually done something for his character and others like it who weren’t all stars (like Noah and Tyler) it could’ve been that they all wanted to prove themselves and make it to merge but because of the 13 episode count and awful writing that potential was wasted. (Not saying he should’ve been a finalist but making it close to merge or to the merge would’ve been better for him)

I just don’t see Sam as an underdog or a competitive player. Maybe if he was bullied for not being All-Star material and then rose to the final five, that could have worked. As it stands though, his team is too nice and supportive. He needs more people against him, which is why the whole heroes vs villains thing doesn’t work at all for the heroes.

Courtney (The whole Courtney and Cameron kiss thing gets her eliminated and makes her a target. LeShawna takes this as an opportunity so her and Gwen can get closer which develops her strategy. 7. Cameron (Evacuated again) 6. Alejandro 5. Gwen (LeShawna is a lot like how Courtney was this season and the reason why LeShawna doesn’t get out this episode is because she wins the immunity like how Courtney should’ve) 4. Zoey 3. Mike (The Mike/Mal and Zoey conflict is solved in 12th episode) 2. Scott 1. LeShawna (LeShawna kind of takes Courtney’s place in the heroes in the most villainous of the heroes and just becomes the main strategist the rest of the season)

tbh they should've made pahkitew before all stars and put the cast in there to put in more variety so this would be my cast of 22: Heroes: Owen Beth Cody Cameron Brick Zoey Shawn Sky Jasmine Rodney (Couldn't think of another hero that was boy (for gender ratio) for pahkitew so he could just be the comic relief character and maybe he can get redemption) Villains: Duncan Alejandro Heather Gwen Courtney Lightning Scott Anne Maria Jo Sugar Topher (I feel like he would forgive Topher for the stunt he tried to pull in pahkitew and probably thought it would be funny to bring him back) Honorable Mentions: Beardo (I was actually considering him since he has a lot of mis potential, but I didn't want to put a first boot in an All-Star season) Scarlett (Didn't want to put her here since she probably would be banned from the show due to the stunt she tried to pull) Max (Really would be kind of boring without Scarlett so I decided to cut him) Dave (Nobody really likes him and is not a fan favorite at all, so I decided to cut him) Mike (I like Zoey better without Mike) Lindsay (I decided to replace Lindsay with Beth since she won / was a finalist in her season) Justin (I cut him since Alejandro is there and I wanted more variety) Trent (Was originally going to put him in but I replaced him with Cody, but Cody was a finalist and I put too many Gen 1 characters I decided to cut him) Harold (Same as Trent) Sierra (To be honest I would've put her in, but it was either her or Cody, so I decided to put Cody in since he probably would have more interesting reactions to everybody else on the cast)

In my opinion. To fix this boring season: 1. Team enemy should have anne maria (replace from lightning) so joe can usin her to winning like tdroti, leshawna or harold(replace from Siera) ik siera only one season but Stacy and dawn also one season only and brick (" sam) he can be rivalry with jo when merge time.. 2. Merge should be 7 contestants and there's one contestants back from elimination.. 3. Sorry.. zoel should get voted early to break her alliance with Mike. Zoel in this season is just stpid and don't deserve to win.. she deserve win on tdroti and not tdas 4. Final 4 should be 2 from gen1 and 2 from gen 2. My opinion (Courtney, Gwen, Mike and whoever from gen2) and the final should be Courtney (canon) and mike/mal. 5. Based on number1: -Brick should be here because he actually heroes from tdroti -Leshawna, she can be allience with gwen all the time to vote court out but suddenly they can be trio 💀 -Harold, Courtney can take a revenge to him -Anne maria, i alr told ya... 6. That was a scrapped plotline. Christine Thompson said that it was an idea for Lindsay's plotline in AS, but it was ultimately cut. They're still together.
