I've never swam competitively but I have always enjoyed it. I am preparing for a sprint tri in August of this year and am really working on my TI technique. I, too, hope that my stroke will be this graceful. Thanks for posting.

Hello, beautiful swimming. I have a question: When you inhale and turn the head back to the water, do you : 1) exhale slowly until the next inhale 2) exhale rather quickly and hold your until to next inhale ( per Adam Ocean Walker) 3) hold your breath and exhale right before the next inhale 4) or any other recommendation I’m having problem with the breathing on my breathing side when I try to do the catch up with my recovery arm( I got used to pull early before the recovery hand entering the water so I can have more time to inhale. I run out of breath with the patient gliding method because you spend more time under water Please shed some light .Thank you very much

Exhale very gently and then a bit more as you start to turn your head to take the next breath. You should never hold your breath but release air naturally and calmly without "blowing" but, as said, everyone is a little more active on the exhale just before the next breath in. never try and "empty" your lungs. Keep plenty in the tank.

I swim 2BK , high elbow set, exhale ínide water and inhale outside but can only do 3x50 in one row. Do i have short stamina or something wrong?
@SWIMSMARTCOACHING3 жыл бұрын
Not sure what ou mean by "high elbow". You should not lift high, merely swing forwards. How much air are you inhaling and exhaling when you swim?
@hungtu67653 жыл бұрын
@@SWIMSMARTCOACHING i mean high elbow catch & pull. I exhale fast and inhale so much air, maybe this was the problem?

@@hungtu6765 Yes breathing should be natural and not forced.

the elbow should be a little higher for better result !

High elbow on recovery can damage shoulders and is a bit of a myth. Lead with the elbow with relaxed foream is much more efficient and kinder to the shoulders.
